Stopped at this bar on saturday night around 7 or so. Wasn't too crowded, bar area was just about filled in but the tables were empty. Sat down at a table with a few friends and ordered some drinks. There didn't seem to be any waitress service so we just went up to the bar to grab our drinks. The beer selection was decent and the bartenders were friendly. Some of my friends ordered the cheese fries which they said was pretty good.
The location of this place is great, right behind the bellmore train station. Worth a trip if your in the area.
Love this local little spot. Â A great place to stp before or after a train commute. Â The staff are very friendly and the drinks are cold. Â LOVE the burgers and wings! Â This is a great place for a night out with friends. Â If you are looking for a pub around Bellmore, this is the place to be.
Review Source:Love this dive - good beer selection, nice bartenders, decent crowd. Well, unless you come on Ladies Night or during a holiday weekend when all the college kiddies are home and out drinkin'. I've had some rather annoying experiences with patrons here, but otherwise, I can't complain too much. If you're looking for no frills and a few beers, this is a good spot.
Review Source:Solid dive-bar experience. Â Good selection of beers including my favorite (and infrequently seen on tap) Paulaner hefe. Â Your best bet is to come in the afternoon when it's quiet. Â Nice calm atmosphere.
On the weekends its a little bit crowded and crazy, Â not much my style. Â
Cool place to come and have a few drinks with friends.
McBride's is a solid local watering hole. Â Great bartenders pouring good drinks at reasonable prices and the bar food is excellent. Â The location is fantastic - directly across from LIRR Bellmore station. Â I have always had an excellent time at McBride's and especially love their bar burger!
Review Source:Divey- Pub-by in Bellmore.
I believe this location used to be the old Bulldog Arms. Â The place is on a corner right under the LIRR station and attracts a mixed bag of people.
Earlier you have the commuters who pop in for a cocktail before heading home to face the rugrats and the wife. Â Later you have a much younger crowd with everything in between.
The bartender is usually johnny on the spot and the drinks are both strong and reasonably priced.
Parking is on the street.
Stop by the Former "Bellmore Filling Station" to see` the beautifully renovated Willie Mc Brides. Aidan a fomer bartender from Boss Crokers and the Filling Station has turned it from a hole in the wall to a nice upscale Irish Pub offering a Menu of a little more than just pub fare. Mc Brides also has a large selection of cold brews and huge TVs for those sports lovers.
