Great local pub. Not the cheapest option in the area, so that keeps the riff raff out. It's usually a really chill crowd and I never get bad vibes when I walk in. We've been coming here for the past 5 years or so and the food was always pretty bad. This past year Sean took control of the kitchen and the food is now actually really, really good. Nice to see a place change for the better. These folks sponsor a lot of local events, teams, etc. Good people. WAY too many TVs for my tastes, but that's my preference.
Review Source:I found McDonagh's when searching for a pub for a post bike ride beer. The place is nice and the service is friendly. If I was rating McDonagh's on beer alone, it would get 5 stars. The amber ale I chose tasted great and was very cold, as it should be. The food was less impressive -- there was nothing wrong with it, just not anything to brag about -- and I found the kitchen to be slow at the off-hour that we were there.
