  I've been to Metropolis a few times and overall had good experiences. But what can you expect for McAllen nightlife? I went here for a punk/ska show and The Neptones were able to muster some awesome skanking out of the crowd at the end of the set. For clubbing, I usually go on Goth Nite on Fridays upstairs. Saturday night downstairs is Mexican night and Fridays is hip hop/reggaeton. Expect to see enough ass, tits, and thighs to rival a topless strip bar. The age groups run a little older. Especially 80's night Saturday night upstairs. It looks as if a few late 20 something couples are trying to relive their prom night. I wish the music was better upstairs. It tends to melt together from Friday/Saturday. And Goth nite is hardly a decent description--sometimes you hear Ladytron or the safety dance.
