    Great food!

I had eaten Mediterranean food before and didn't really like it. We just moved here from Ca and  got  Meza add in a local magazine and decided to give a try. We went on a very raining evening and didn't have many people in the restaurant but the place is cute, they have belly dancers on Friday night to entertain. We ordered appetizers to start which were delicious, I was very surprised because, like I said, Mediterranean food wasn't my favorite. The waiter was very nice, very professional, our meal was yummy and very reasonable price. I really recommend this place and for sure, we will be back.

Just ordered for half my office. Was told they could only take one credit card over the phone (no other restaurant has a problem with multiple credit cards). Also, the woman who took my order waited until after I ordered everything to tell me that it would take an hour and a half for our lunch to be delivered and was extremely rude about it. They just lost a lot of business. I don't care if the food is great, we will not be ordering from here again.

Great place. The food was very tasty and big portion and was presented nicely. We were greeted by a nice person who happened to be our server. He recommended few items which we tried. We also enjoyed the belly dance show and we talked to the dancer, she was awesome. The owner came to our table to ask about our experience and he chatted with for few minutes. We found that was very cool. This is a great Greek & Lebanese place. You should try it.

Go there at least once a week. Tim is the BEST waiter we've ever met. I'm simple but fiancé tries something new each time and always says the same thing "This is now my favorite dish!"

I look forward to eating dinner at Meza for a multitude of reasons! First... I try something different every time. I have yet to be disappointed. Everything bite of every dish is bursting with flavors! This is not a typical 'greek' place. Combinations of flavors is quite different and I am always shown what to try with a little of what. TIM, our FAVORITE waiter , will suggest putting a slight bit of mint and onion on this, a speck of pickled turnip on that and completely transforms things from what they would taste like if I had just dug in with a fork.
I am curious so I try everything. The raw kibee (sp?) was really different. I Love that hand rolled sausage ( I think it was called kafta). The salad is great and the vegetable side with the entrees is delish! My fiance is not as curious as I am so he orders the steak kebob every time and he is NEVER EVER disappointed.
SO...GO THERE for dinner, ask to be seated in Tims section and have fun!

I came here for lunch with my boyfriend recently.  I am a big fan of mediterranean food.

I ordered a Greek salad without cheese.  The salad was very fresh and they had a nice dressing.   The only thing I wish they would do different is offer pita bread and hummus.  Here pita and hummus has to be ordered whereas most greek style restaurants give it as part of the dining experience.

The place was clean and cozy.  They have a nice sized menu.  The prices were also reasonable.

When I really like the eating experience at a restaurant, I go all out and recommend it to friends, colleagues, and even strangers - That is what I initially did for Meza Grill.Yes, all for free.
I have seen this restaurant since its first day -even before they went live - till today. Somewhere it fizzled out in between. They started off with a bang - taking orders on iPads, exhibiting that ethnic food can be blended in urban environment too. And I was happy that given their location they could pull good crowd.
Firstly, I am a big fan of Greek, middle, Eastern, Mediterranean food. I adore the way they blend spices and the favor we get from the food. I could go on and on about how good this cusine is. Secondly, my workplace is very close to this place so I could go there very often. Thirdly, when they started, the prices were reasonable seemed like a place we could go a couple of times a week for lunch given they had a lunch special menu.
    Fourthly.
The interiors are good it instantly molds you in a mood to eat some Mediterranean food . They also have an outside seating space. Their food is good. It has a flavor that you would like to go back again. It has been fresh on most occasions but they take really long time to bring the food to the table. I am a fan of their Falafel Sandwich which is fresh but on some occasions the falafel balls were cold even after taking 20 mins to prepare them. We end up spending an hour and half when we are part of 4+ even when we just walk to this place from office. On a couple of occasions when I had a to-go order, they took a good 30 mins to get a falafel sandwich. I still didn't give up on them. I would call them, place my to go order and walk over to get the order after 15 mins.
The waiting staff is decent, however the owner takes good care.  The wait staff could be more attentive though.
They have increased the food price on most of their items. What used to be a $7 check is now $10 plus. I would rather go to a place like Pita Loco or Pita Principle that serve authentic Falafel which are even a few notches better than Meza's.
I may go there only if we have a team lunch or for Hookah. The dining experience needs to improve to get me there again. We want the old Meza back.

Stopped in for a quick lunch, hoping for some fresh, tasty Mediterranean food.  First, don't sit by the patio door; every time the waiter came in or out I got blown by a strong draft getting sucked inside.

As for the food, it was attractively presented and mostly tasty.  Tabouli Salad was large and fresh tasting, although I'm used to the parsley being chopped much more finely.  It was served on large romaine leaves, which were totally unnecessary and actually got in the way.
Sampler platter had a number of items on it; lowlight was the tasteless hummus; highlight was smoky, roasted-flavored baba ganoush.  Falafel balls were very overcooked and a bit oily.  Need to be lightly fried, not dunked to death in oil.  Grape leaves were very thin, with not much filling - although fairly tasty, truth be told.

Service was polite and fairly quick, so no complaints there.  Drinks stayed refilled.  Overall, a fair place with some untapped potential.

I said I wouldn't be back after my first experience, but I think I've been back at least 3 more times. I work right across the street, and sometimes I just want some Mediterranean food!

Was in a group of 7 for lunch today and experienced timely service, great food, and a fun waiter. We were celebrating a birthday, and our server (Tim) was fun, friendly, and attentive! He even threw in a dessert for the birthday girl, and WOW was it good.

For a group of 7 people to be in and out in about 75 minutes was reasonable.  Now that I've been back a few times, and haven't experienced the bizarre service I experienced with my husband when we dined here a few months ago, I'm bumping them to 4 stars.

By the way, since that first visit, I haven't seen the same servers again, so I'm guessing they were either canned or made the good decision to go find something more in line with their skills.

I'm not sure why all the complaints about the service here.  I was in and out in an hour with an appetizer.  The food is all prepared to order so don't expect really fast service.  We had the Feta Dip for our appetizer.  It was served with both pita chips and pita wedges and was delicious.  One co-worker ordered the Veggie Pizza that was a good size and she loved it.  Another co-worker orderd the Sujak Sandwich which is a spicy smoked beef sausage.  The "sandwiches" are actually grilled wraps.  You have a choice of greek salad or fries.  We both opted for the salad which was a good size and the vegetables were all very fresh.  The dressing was not overpowering.  I had the Falafel Sandwich and I really enjoyed it.  I kept saying I was full and not going to eat anymore but kept going back!  I definitely recommend this place.

Meza makes proper Mediterranean food.  I was told the owner, and consequently his receipts, are Lebanese. I was also told that their tzatziki sauce and hummus are made fresh in the kitchen, but the baklava is not.  However, their two baklava options taste pretty good, especially coupled with their Turkish coffee.  I usually order vegetarian options like the falafel with salad or fries, hummus with pita, baklava, grape leaves, etc.  My cohorts seem to go with the meat gyro (lamb and beef) or any of the shawarmas, and we are always happy with our food.  On average, the service has been friendly and prompt.  In terms of Meza's music selection, I believe they have a cassette player boom-box whose play button is olive-oiled-jammed since 1985 :)  Lunch ranges $7-10 per person, and dinner ranges $11-15. You should eat here or get lunch/ dinner take out.

Went for lunch with 3 co-workers. The 1st order to hit our table came 26 minutes after ordering. The waitress returned with some plates a minute later but I guess it wasn't our food so she took it away. We finally got our food well over 30 minutes after ordering. The iced tea was very strong so i asked for some ice water; never got it. For people on their lunch break this is just unacceptable. The food tasted ok but nothing special.

The sad part is we actually went to this restaurant like 5 months ago and the service was terrible then but they were new and thought they would have surely improved by now. Never will return...

I came here for lunch during the week.  The place was almost full and I was greeted immediately walking through the door.  As I sat down, I was handed the menu and started searching for the veg friendly options.

There are a lot of options for vegetarians at this restaurant.  Granted, any Mediterranean restaurant with falafel always works in my favor.

I ordered the falafel wrap with french fries.  It was wrapped in a pita with some lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and tahini.  I had them add some feta too.

The wrap was good and the service was quick for me.  It is a sit down restaurant. I  believe there is an option to sit at the bar if one would like.

I would come back for another craving of Mediterranean food during my work lunch break.

The food is great but the service is HORRIBLE! It took 50 minutes to make a falafel sandwich. And our waiter was to busy texting to serve us. I'd recommend taking your order to go and not dining in as the waiters are not very competent.

The place was empty and not very busy for a Friday night, should have known then and moved on but was hungry. The server was nice girl who had some small shorts she was wearing. The place was very quite at first then they paid some dance music then the owner came in and blasted Arab music there was only 3 people in the whole place. Way to LOUD ease up on the tunes BOSS

The good food makes up for the bad service. The waiter/waiteress's are very confused. After paying my bill, the lady actually made an action with her hand which actually looked like she was shooing me away :)

Oh, and while i was standing there, the waitresses kept referring to the customers as "this" and "these". She even pointed at me and told another lady "i got this, do you  have that one?" !! :)

Ling story short.. The day the quality of food comes down, that day i will stop going here.

AWFUL SERVICE.  Went with a coworker at lunch - there were maybe 6 other tables in the entire restaurant.  Waited a HALF HOUR for two sandwiches that should have been out in 10 minutes tops.  The server never came back to check on us or refill our drinks, and we had to go inside (had been sitting outside) TWICE - first to find out where the heck our food was, and 2nd to get our check.  The food was decent, but definitely not worth the wait.  And the table next to us ordered coffee at the end of their meal and was told that "It may be a while."

WILL NOT BE RETURNING.  Terrible.  If I could give it negative stars, I would.

My wife and I were excited to take our 9 year old twins to this restaurant to enjoy mediterranean food.

I would not recommend this restaurant, and would go out of my way to actually steer you clear. If you want to wait for the only serving staff to get back to you, because they are too busy running away from one table to another, if you want cold, reheated side veggies which were previous frozen an not fresh, and be assessed an "automatic" gratuity of 18% before you've had a chance to decide that's how much you actually want to leave, and otherwise have a less then average meal, then by all means, go for it

Good ambiance. Their lunch menu is cheap for the location and the ambiance. The lunch combo includes a sandwich, side and a drink for $7. I had the meat gyro which I really liked. It was just right!

I intend to go back for dinner to see how good an evening place it is.

En route to Tri-Rail, my bff and I detoured to Meza for a quick lunch.

    Pros:

    Ambiance (5 stars)
    Price (4.5 stars)
    Menu diversity (4 stars)
    Service (3.5 stars)

    Cons:
    Food: (2.5 stars)

My bff decided to have the Sujuk cheese pizza and I decided to have the sujuk sandwich... Sujuk is a spicy sausage and sounded great. The Sujuk pizza was about the size of a personal pan which is good, but it was super greasy (like you could see it sitting on top of your pizza)... The sujuk sandwich wasn't too my liking...  the pickles tasted really different and the side salad was drenched in dressing...

    Overall 2.5 stars.

i have been to Meza twice.  the first time - i got the mixed grilled platter. it comes with steak and chicken kabobs and a kafka.  the karka was way too dry.  this time, i got the mixed grill again. this time, all the meats were cooked perfectly.  however, the couscous was horrible. it smelled like it was spoiled.

the waiter screwed up 2 of 6 orders. it also takes forever for the food to come out.  we noticed that everything on the menu went up since the last time we were here too...which was about a week ago.
