I admit it probably isn't really 5 stars, but I'll bump it from 4 to 5 to make up for the jerk who gave it 1 without ever entering the door! It's a bar! If you remember that, you're going to love it! The fresh food is amazing, considering it is bar food and the specials are incredible! Fresh hand made small pizza with 1 topping and 3 bottled beers of your choice for $6.00 during happy hour on Friday? You just can't beat it. It's okay to be a prude, but not in Wayne county bars. Leave the attitude outside in the parking lot you should have reviewed and leave the yumminess to those who dare venture inside! :-)

This bar isn't meant to be for the faint-hearted anti-social type. You need to know people to get good seats. If the owners or bartenders know you in there, you're treated amazingly. If you are a sports bar go-er, no wonder you're all complaining. The best thing about this bar is that everyone inside is drunk as hell and acting like an idiot. THAT'S THE POINT!!!!

Been here a handful of times and always liked it. I get the 3 beers and a pizza for $6 deal (might be $5). The pizza isn't anything great but it does the job. Place is ussally pretty low key when i am there (dinner time) but have been told it gets louder later on. Has the dive bar feel but isn't so dirty that you dont want to use the bathroom.

During the day, they have lunch specials and it is quiet and mellow. The  wait staff is awesome. My favorite special is a pizza and 3 beers for $5. The pizza there is so good. The kitchen closes at 10, I believe.

At night (after about 9pm), it is a completely different story. This bar is loud and proud of it. They encourage you to stand on your bar stool and dance. Drinks are pretty cheap. They have bottled beer, liquor, and wine but no draft beer. Girls tend to not wear a whole lot of clothing there, that is the only deterrent. But if you are looking for a rowdy good time with lots of loud music, this is the place to be. It is packed on the weekends, but you can make a reservation ahead of time to get a great seat on the bar. They charge $5/$6 for cover on the weekend nights. The bartenders are awesome & friendly. Rarely a pretentious person in the room.

Their themed parties are a blast. People go ALL out in costumes. Not just on Halloween! However, like I said before... girls tend to lack in the clothing department. This tends to attract a less sophisticated crowd, but if you are just going to drink and have a good time it shouldn't matter.

Pretty cool bar if you don't like draft beer or prompt service, or actual bars, for that matter.

If you're over the age of 22 and/or male, you have no business going here.  This isn't a bar -- it's a crappy club in disguise.  There is no beer on draft.  There is plenty of obnoxious music.  Steer clear unless you automatically consider pandemonium to be fun or are looking to meet a girl who uses the word "like" as frequently as every other word in the English language combined.

I like Slingers pretty well. My friends and I went there for Halloween and that place knows how to do Halloween parties right!
The other times I've gone there have been lots of fun even without everyone dressed up in costume. They give everyone wooden sticks so you can make some noise, and people are always dancing on the bar stools.
It's not too small of a bar, but small enough that you can see everything from up on your stool. Drink prices are reasonable, and the workers are lots of fun.

Just so everyone knows, this place is called "Slingers" now.

This bar, is not my type of bar. When I was living Livonia/Westland area, it was hard to find chill and relaxing bars with a down to earth wait staff. Most tend to be of the loud, sports bar type atmosphere.

So I go into this bar and I'm immediately carded and almost pushed around by some wannabe bouncer telling me there is a cover charge. I'm thinking "a cover change for this??...whaaaattt". So I swallow my pride and venture in to have a good time. It took forever for a bartender to notice me. Apparently he was too busy flirting with girls and attempting to emulate Tom Cruise in "Cocktail". Finally I get my drink, a gin and tonic, a fairly simple drink to make. When I get it, it's mostly all sprite (not tonic) and hardly any gin. The price was the only good thing about this place. As the "just turned 21" types are running around yelling and screaming. This was not the bar I was looking for. After one drink, I decide to leave.

This place gets one star because the drinks are cheap and whatever they were cooking smelled delicious.

Not for me.  I was in this bar for exactly 5 mins.  Pushy and annoying.  if that is what you are looking for, have at it, but not for me.

This bar has changed names... I am unsure as to why but I still have a hell of a time at this bar!

Ok so I have been to PY Stix quite a few times and everytime it is the same fun as before.  $6 for cover is a bit much considering that the crowd is 21 and over.  You are given sticks as you walk through the door, which you can bang on everything in the bar, including the nearest hotties butt. This is one of the few places were there is a good mix of guys and girls. Be prepared to get on the tables and the chairs and dance.

If you have a girlfriend that is having a birthday, or just have a friend of yours that's a guy that you really want to embarrass then get them a blow job.

There are drink specials pretty much every night and it is wise to get on their text list.  Power hour is a must between 9pm -10pm $1.50 domestics and wells.  After that the drinks really aren't that bad, and are some times cheaper than most bars.

We go here so much for after work happy hour  that is officially known as the "budget meeting".  $5 for three beers AND a pizza.  That is the best deal in town by far.  This deal is good for one per person per night.  The thin crust pizza is really good with tangy sauce and goes perfectly with the beer.  The staff is way cool and they don't even get too mad when I want to watch european football.
