We're a Colombian family in Washington, where there are a handful of us. Long story short, we were super excited to try this place. When we showed up it was staffed by 2-3 people - as hosts, waitresses and cooks - so the service was slow and blah. The place was empty, not one other person there. The food took a while to come out and was cold. Flavor was off, and it just wasn't authentic. Maybe my expectations were set too high, but if you're going to offer a specific ethnic food, make it right. I won't try it again.

Am a fan and would highly recommend the place.

    Food - 5/5
Tried the empanads, yuca fritas, pollo sudado, and the bandeja paisa. Went there with a friend of mine and this was definitely a lot of food. The empanadas had great tasting filling of mashed potatos, and minced meat. Overall served warm with the a nice flaky crispness on the outside. You can hardly go wrong with Yuca Fritas. The pollo sudado is a quarter chicken in tomato based stew served with rice on the side. The chicken was tender and went very well with stew and rice. The bandeja was by far the most unique dish I had and a must try. It is meat fiesta with minced meat, pork sausages, a slice of steak, fried pork, fried plantains, mashed plantain chip, black beans, fried egg, arrepas and rice. It tasted really good and even after being totally full and stuffed we still wanted to continue eating.

    Ambiance - 4.5/5
The moment you walk in he you totally find yourself surrounded by colombian decor. From the rickety jeep idling in the front garden with decoy bags of rice with the colobian flag on them. Once you enter the restaurant you are surrounded by very tastefully selected decor items. The decor definitely leaves one with no doubt on the Colombian-ness of the place. This is a house converted to a restaurant and thus it felt really cozy and comfortable. There is a bar and lounge at the back.

    Service - 4/5
The hosts were accommodating and readily agreed to our request to change seats from the outside to inside the restaurant. Our host was helpful with recommendations from the menu and to his credit all of them hit the spot in a good way. :)

    Accessibility and parking - 3/5
Getting there was a pain as the place is all the way in Kent. Once you get there though the place has got plenty of parking spots and it feels really open.

A great find on a night we weren't sure where we were going to end up for dinner!
As we approached the address, my first inkling of their fun decor was a jeep loaded up with flowers, a rooster and other miscellaneous nicknacks that I imagined was heading to Columbia! The ambiance for the meal was set and we weren't disappointed with the food! We fought over sipping each other homemade juices and enjoyed the special meal of the day. It was authentically served on a banana leaf and was melt in your mouth delicious, containing pork, chicken, beef, egg and an assortment of veggies. Their lounge area was pretty funky, decorated with white tablecloths, adorned with glow in the dark puffy paint!  We will be back one night to check out that scene plus enjoy more food! Next time, maybe even taking dinner on the outdoor patio! A great evening!!

I have no idea if this is authentic Columbian food; all I know is that it is yummy! Try one of there refreshing homemade juices - we had blackberry, lemonade and passion fruit. The egg, veggie and meat filled banana leaf was our big winner as far as entrees go. It is one of the rotating specials of the day. It was sweet and spicy and oh so tender. There is a big patio for outdoor dining and fun, quirky decorations.

WOW! I just tried this place last night and it was absolutely wonderful! I really hope people start finding out about this gem in south kent. The location is in a sort of an industrial area but only a couple minutes from 167 and totally worth the drive if you aren't nearby!  I had the Soncocho and some empanadas as an app., and my boyfriend had the whole friend tilapia. They were both great, but the sancocho really just warmed my soul along with my belly and had a great flavor to it. The food took a while, but I appreciate the care and craft put into my meal, so with that in consideration, the wait wasn't too bad. Also, they have a patio area and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the sun which was nice. Service was very good, and I also enjoyed the Colombian-themed décor. Yay for Mi Tierra Colombiana! Cinco estrellas!

Authentic Colombian restaurants are hard to come by in the US. Outside of Florida and Jackson Heights, there aren't many restaurants. There are a few in the West Coast and this is the only one I know of in the PNW.

Given the scarcity of Colombian food, I really wanted to like this restaurant more than I did. The major problem is that they were out of the dishes that my wife and I ordered. It wasn't like we went on a busy night either, it was Saturday at lunch time. That was disappointing. We had mixed results with the dishes that we did order. Mine was good and my wife's dish was bland.

The service was good and the best part about the restaurant was its decor. The restaurant is much nicer than many if the East Coast establishments.

I really like this place! As a Colombian as well, this is the best quality Colombian food I've seen in the Northwest in the 14 years I've lived here. I've tried a couple other Colombian restaurants, that unfortunately don't make it, and hope this one makes it with the support of its clients. We cannot ask for AUTHENTIC Colombian food in the NW, this is not the East Coast; therefore, I think it suits the craving for Colombian food to its best ability. I would say definitely try it, it's a great environment, especially for large parties. It also has a bar/club, Coco's, which is a lot of fun on the weekends and serve Colombian drinks as well!

    Excited to have discovered a great date night spot so close to home. The restaurant has a very cozy atmosphere and its authenticity brought back feelings of being on vacation. The food maybe a little adventurous for some but will not disappoint especially if your a meat lover! My carnivore of a boyfriend was in heaven with all the different options. He was especially pleased with when he was served his charbroiled steak  that was so large it needed its own plate...and part of mine as well ( ;
The patacones appetizer is an absolute must try if you come here and was the flavorful highlight of our meal.
We will absolutly be back with friends.

I'm glad this friendly little restaurant is getting good reviews. They've done a nice job decorating in and out and this is a safe bet for family dinner or a date. A friend suggested Mi Tierra Columbiana and I was seriously pleased with the great food and service. My friend and I shared the Ensalada Pollo and Bandeja Paisa, an interesting mixed plate with sausage, strip steak, meaty chicharron, poached egg, rice beans and avocado. Our server was attentive and professional and sweetened up our aguadiente mojito's with some peach syrup when they came a little drier than we expected. There are some great sweet drinks on the menu we'll try next time.

The place was amazing, environment, service, food, variety, music and price... I'm VERY pleased to have spent my birthday in that new (for me) restaurant... I'm definitely going back (quite often, I hope). They have the largest selection of Colombian food/drinks/desserts I've ever seen outside of Colombia. I encourage you to go!
