Didn't expect much, given the limited dining options in town, but we were very pleasantly surprised. Had excellent Reuben and my partner had pork chop special. Both meat and vegetable sides tasted homemade and all were very reasonably priced. Great choice!

Fox news on the TV was our intro to the ambience of this place. Two full menus, one with Chinese dishes, one with American bar food. Wife ordered cheeseburger, I ordered BBQ sandwich. Waitress was unfriendly...when wife asked what she could get on burger, answer was, "whatever you want." One other table at the restaurant was clearly friends of the waitress. They had a noisy baby who the waitress was continually talking baby talk to. At one point she brought the baby to our table and made it wave at us.
Food was decent...burger patty was hand-formed. BBQ was very tasty, but not very moist. BBQ sandwich should have had some lettuce, pickles, onion, tomato, etc., but it did not. It was just some meat on a bun. Would never eat here again.
"Decent seafood, sandwiches, etc."
There aren't many restaurants in this area, but this is a good spot to stop en route to/ from Nags Head and the Outer Banks. Â It definitely comes across as a locals hangout when you walk in- pretty crowded, deer heads and stuffed ducks adorn the walls, as well as a diversity of t-shirts. Â Sandwiches were in the $6-10 range & come with fries. Â They also have platters for $7-15, with hush puppies & two sides. Â We had crab cake sandwiches and substituted the fries for cucumber salad. Â Crab cake was good- not the best I've had, but solid. Â The cucumber salad was VERY tasty, in an almost pickled sort of way. Â My son had a hot dog kids meal, and his hot dog was HUGE.
Overall, A-OK. Â Worth the stop if you're hungry.
