Smells like cat pee. too warm in there. Wine is served in boxes!

Millers Tavern is now closed. Sign out front says Cryans Tavern coming soon. I assume same Cryans from Branchburg?

Sad to see it go, but the consistency has dropped of over the last year or two.

Pizza is good. But the staff is mean and nasty. The cooks drink and STUFF in the kitchen while cooking. I would say getting take out in the early evening is best. The inside is awful and I heard the bartenders where doing drugs I'm the bathroom and stealing money.

Pizza was good. Very unique craker crust. The place inside was basically a dive bar. Next time we order to go.

My Dad first frequented here in the late 1970s/early 1980s, when his job relocated him to Clinton. He would come to watch football games, and Miller's has great TVs for that. Then he would take Mom here when they were dating and married, and he would take me here in the 90s. Now I go (maybe a couple times a year) with some of my friends when they are in town. They usually have good holiday specials (St. Patrick's Day!) and fantastic pizza, plus they have awesome games to play while passing the time. It is a tad bit too full of old creepy dudes, but then again, that's half the fun of it, the people-watching.

I do feel the need to update my review, because I try to be very selective with my 5-star reviews. Miller's is still great and I still feel like 3-stars is a very solid rating. I think the main reason that I am lowering my rating is the overall inconsistency of this place. Now, I totally understand this is a dive bar and that the service is going to be spotty, at best, but I do feel the overall inconsistency is glaring.

To start, the pizza can be very good. For the most part, I do think their bar pies are awesome. Definitely get the sausage - it is great. There was one time I was there recently where flour was literally caked to the bottom of the pizza which was obviously not good. When done right, the pizza is awesome.

As for the other food, don't venture to far from the typical bar food fare. Good fries, decent wings, etc. Not too many beers on tap but not that big a deal. Service can also be hit or miss. The biggest reason for this is that there simply aren't enough people to take the orders and when the place is packed, there are about 2-3 people covering all the tables. When that happens, it can be a bit of an adventure.

Overall, this is still a very good place and I do like it but I did feel the need to update my review.

Price was right for a decent overall backwoods sports bar experience. Would seem to have all the amenities, big wraparound bar, pool table, booths, TVs, dim lighting, nothing of beauty.

Learned that a 'bar pie' is an individual pizza. Liked the thin crust. Coke tasted like generic cola.

Liked the vibe from the staff (all female). But service was less-than, entrees arriving seven or ten minutes apart, our table serviced half the time by the barkeep.

Food 5 + ambiance 4 + value 7 + service 4 = overall 5.1 /10 (decent/forgettable)

I worked right down the road from this place for years, now I live walking distance away...went for the 1st time this past Sunday. Slammin' bar pie! Good, cheap beer! How did I not know about/frequent this place before? Oh, probably cause most sane 20-somethings like myself avoid cop magnet watering holes like this lil gem. NJSP and Clinton Township (the gestapo) cruise by non-stop. Hint: parking in back lot!

Thanks for letting me run in and use the bathroom. The really nice bartender and low-key crowd makes me want to come back and actually enjoy a drink or play some pool.

This place has the best bar pie in the area, it is nothing like nyc pizza but thats not why you goto this place. Dive bar, great pizza and beer. Local dive bar, but great spot to meet friends for beer and pizza. I had their other dishes there but wasn't crazy about it. Its the kind of place you get a pizza a beer and say Get R Done....

M has seen this spot along 78 for far too long without stopping in. That mug of beer on the roof has teased him for years and then finally he got to visit. It really was everything he dreamed of... for a solid 3-star bar. This is a step up from dive, a nice neighborhood spot, reasonably priced bar food, pizza, etc. The lady next to us was eating a pizza and wolfed down the whole thing by herself, M was really hoping to steal a piece because it smelled fantastic. Full bar but the drink here is ice cold beer. Yes, if we are driving back from anywhere west we will make a pit stop here again.

I've been getting pizza here on and off for the last 35 years. Since the new owners have taken over I have been back twice for the pizza. I was disappointed both times. The crust use to be light and crispy as well as thin. Now it is still thin but tough and chewy. Maybe they didn't get the original recipe or maybe they thought they could ignore it. But since this was the only thing bringing me there, I will stop going.

When I lived in Clinton almost 30 years ago and ate at Miller's on occasion with a girlfriend the place was a dive biker bar serving mediocre burgers. Tonight my hubby and I and friends who still live near Clinton stopped in at Millers. After an absence of almost 30 years I found it is still a dive bar but also that our friends were right when they reported Millers now serves really, really good pizza! Thin crust, both chewy and crispy at the same time, with just the right amount of perfectly seasoned sauce and good cheese and toppings, all baked just right.

Great prices too. For TWO large pies (to go...we ARE 30 years older after all), one with pepperoni and the other with peppers and onions, the total was under $25. In my current home state you'd pay almost that much for one good pizza. Seemed like a bargain to my hubby and me.

Somehow it's a comfort that some things never change and Miller's still is what it was. But it also underscores that change is a good thing to have added in this terrific pizza in the "good new days".

I think Miller's is great for roadside pizza! It's a thin crust pizza and is a bit greasy but it really tastes great! I usually just get a plain cheese pizza and it runs me $11. This place is packed on Friday & Saturday evenings.

It's a pretty decent sized bar but on the weekends you will have to wait for a table or booth. The wait staff is always friendly and timely. They have a decent tap selection. I

I've only ever had their pizza because it's so good I don't want to try anything else!

I've always hated Miller's. Hate is not even a strong enough word.
Loathe, detest, totally grosses me out.

Dirty, Dive Bar who serves the absolute worst food ( I use that term loosely).

They like to think pizza is their claim to fame. Sure, if you're totally baked out of your mind....then maybe. I will never get that drunk, so I see the pizza for what it is. A cracker with some jar sauce and some out of the bag Shop-Rite cheese.

Once in a while I wax nostalgic, and will stop for a quickie lunch in town; usually at the Sub Shoppe, or the like, but this recent trip Back East, I was across the street at Miller's

Everything inside me screamed "Don't do it -- You'll be sorry"

Sorry I was & $20 poorer--Never, never again. I had the grilled turkey sandwich; burnt beyond recognition, with 2 slices of Shop Rite turkey, and not even the good turkey; the one that's on sale, and doesn't really taste like turkey, cheap cheese that somehow didn't melt despite the charred bread, and some chips -- too cheap to throw down for potatoes.

The V & T, set me back almost $10....Studip me ordered Grey Goose in a dump; of course I got hosed. They thought I fell off the turnip truck.
Oh, and my water down vodka was served in an over sized shot glass....who does that?

Never, I repeat, never again.

I thought I had read about this place on http://Yelp.com, but I guess not, as it looks like I'm the first reviewer. In any case, my husband and I were in Clinton, NJ on business, and needed a quick, yummy meal (not to mention a drink or two) after our long drive up from MD. We parked at Miller's and the second we walked in the door felt comfortable and welcome - great atmosphere! Totally casual and laid-back. We got 2 side salads ($2.50 each) and a HUGE large pizza for $9. Yep...$9 for an entire large pizza. It was delicious - thin crust, with a tangy tomato sauce and not drenched in cheese or oil. I wasn't expecting such a laid-back bar/pub to have such great pizza, but it was really good.

The servers are fantastic - you get the feeling that they've all worked there for years and are familiar with all the regulars. No-nonsense and the service was really fast and accurate.

Miller's is great - if we're ever back in Clinton, we'll definitely be stopping in.
