We heard good things about the food....we didn't get enough service to confirm though. Â We arrived and were seated. Â Waitress brought us waters...10 minutes later, nothing. Â We decided to order to go since it seemed it'd be a wait. Â We got to the front desk and it appeared to be a server's social going on. Â They took my order...we ordered a burger and a Chicago dip sandwich. Â 25 minutes later NOTHING! I had a crying infant, friends waiting on us, finally I cancelled my order. Â The waitress had an attitude about it like it was my fault. Â HELLO! I am the customer! I won't ever go back, I can spend my money elswhere (because it's not cheap there either) where it's appreciated.
Review Source:Ive been here a few times, and it's always okay. But last night, I ordered the lettuce wrap appetizer for my whole meal, and I really loved it. It' chicken, onions, carrots in a spicey Asian sauce served with big leafs of butter (?) lettuce. I ordered a glass of pineapple juice blended with a splash of grenadine to go with it (my own recipe), and the bar mixed it up just fine. I'm looking forward to repeating that meal.
Review Source:How this place was awarded "Best Sunday Brunch" in Bismarck is beyond me. Â From the food, to the service, even the seating... everything about our experience was horrific. Â
The buffet was an incohesive mess. Â Since when are lasagna and pasta with meat sauce considered breakfast food? Â Biscuits were has hard as hockey pucks... as for the gravy, what gravy? Â The pan set empty. Â Caramel rolls were dried out and burnt to the bottom of the pan. Â
I made reservations for a party of six, plus one child. We were seated in a dingy banquet hall with folding tables and foam coffee cups. Â 18% gratuity is included for parties of six or more, which is normally not a problem. Â However, our waitress did absolutely nothing except take our order. Â She did not even so much as re-fill one single coffee cup or clear empty plates from the table. Â On top of that, we had to chase her down just to get our check. Â
Minerva's is by far, the absolute worst Sunday brunch I have ever experienced.
