Ok, not great.  Under sauced, moderate to small portions and over-priced for what you get. Adequate if you are hungry, but not something that I will go any distance to get.  The people are just ridiculously giggly and were cracking stupid jokes instead of getting on with giving customers their food and taking orders.  Got my sammich and had to ask for extra sauce since it was sooooooooo dry.  The meat is pretty good, but the sauces and seasonings just seem to be there, but not really anything to write home about.  I might eat here again, but I won't go out of my way to do so..

We arrived at 11am, when they open for lunch. The cashier was too busy writing down the specials to say hi or be friendly. The tables were dirty from the night before. Then things changed. Pink haired, friendly and smiling girl brought out our food. The brisket was very good: not fatty, dry or tough. It was moist, tender, flavorful and even better with extra BBQ sauce. Our sides were REALLY good: cornbread, corn, coleslaw and beans. Yes, I'll be back.

The guys taking orders at the counter are soooo friendly and helpful - it really sold the experience for me.  I got takeout and I thought that all of the bbq was pretty solid.  Sides were good as well.  Happy to have it in the neighborhood.

Solid barbecue.  Definitely the best we have had in Boulder to this point.  The takeout order was great and everything was provided that we needed for the meal.

We will be going back here again in the future.

This was my third visit to Moe's in my first month in Boulder and I have yet to be disappointed in the Q yet.  I wanted to try something new, besides the pulled pork and brisket which I've had twice, so I inquired about the ribs.  Chrys informed me that they are dry rubbed and I was cautious since I prefer St Louis and KC style wet ribs. So, she let me try one. Next thing you know I'm ordering a full rack. Half to eat there and half for lunch the next day.  They are very tasty, so good that they don't need sauce.   I forgot my leftovers there and didn't realize it until 2 hours later.  I wanted them for lunch the following day that I drove back to pick them up.

I'm still disappointed by the beers on tap.  Dale's Pale Ale might be the most overrated local beer I've tried so far.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but the pulled pork bbq and brisket was excellent. The cornbread and collards were pretty good too. Seemed like some pretty authentic Alabama Q with both a red and a white sauce.

    This place is awesome!

On Tuesdays they have a special for the $9 chicken platter. It is definitely worth the price, since it is a ton of food - essentially, half of a chicken, cornbread, and 2 sides. The meat is very tender and delicious. I usually have to take some home with me.

Also, their bbq sauce is gluten-free and they have a lot of gluten-free sides as options.

This place rocks. They have a great atmosphere, good service, and great food. Moe's has awakened my senses to the world of BBQ. Nothing better than eating a sandwich, drinking a sweet tea and watching the cars roll down Baseline. Almost forgot, the do a great job catering. I went in with my friends as possible clients and they treated us right by sampling their food.

Moe's is pretty killer 'que. Don't miss the chicken wings, collard greens and Alabama White Sauce. It's really nice to see these popping up all over the front range. Moe's is a great option for delicious, fast, and affordable BBQ.

We went at 8:30pm on a Wednesday and they said they were out of beef brisket, chicken, and pork. Which, albeit surprising, may be understandable but then we were told it was our fault for being too late. Poor social and business skills.

Great food.  Great prices.  The staff are very very friendly.  I go to MOE'S all the time and leave with a smile on my face.

Specials daily (check their Facebook page) and frequent live music.
The pulled pork and in-house Moe's sauce is to die for.
The customer service is also top notch.

Nothing like ordering up some yummy southern food, especially when it's prepared and delivered by a cute southern gentleman :)

I came here for an event where the sandwich platters were free. I had the pulled pork sandwich, green chile, and baked beans and all were good. There are better places for BBQ in the area, but this place isn't bad if you're in the area and have a BBQ craving.

I love Moe's!! From the owner, Mike, who is about as hospitable as it gets, to the food and the Wednesday night music. So far, I have had the pulled pork sandwich both ways (original and Bama, I really liked the Bama style with white sauce and cole slaw!!), their wings are awesome, as is the mac and cheese, cole slaw, cornbread...I haven't had anything that i haven't liked yet. The drinks are generously poured and mix well with the food offerings. They also support the non-profit where I work, KGNU Community Radio, which is always a BONUS in my book. I'll be there Wednesday!

    Best wings in Boulder.

    Best BBQ in Boulder.

Sandwiches are pretty good, but the sides are better.

    The fried catfish is delicious.

KT's is gross, I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about.

Welcome to Boulder!  I am a big BBQ fan and a friend told me about this place so I went to check it out.  I tried the pulled porked, smoked Turkey with potato salad.  Yum! Yum! Yum!  I then asked the owner if he would give me a good price for a fundraiser I was hosting......answer was, YES!  He helped us out with some stellar rates and our guests were pleased.  My only regret was not ordering MORE.  If you do an event of your own, get more pork than turkey, it was the hit of the party!  Two thumbs up from me, good food and good people.

    Short version: Overpriced mediocre food.

Long version: I had the pulled pork, and it was pretty good for Boulder I suppose. Very dry though and I had to use about half a bottle of bbq sauce on it (the sauce was probably the best thing I had there). Everything else was pretty bad. All of the sides tasted like they had been sitting out for 2 or 3 days. The mac & cheese was dry and overcooked. The baked beans were trying to be classy I think because they were filled with celery and other veggie flavorings (gross, in my opinion). The corn bread was dry and dense and tasteless. Maybe I'm pickier because I grew up in the south? Anyway, I left feeling full, but it was a pretty forgettable experience. I will not be going back.

When the meal came with the sandwiches swimming in drippy cole slaw, I wondered what style of BBQ this was.  Some of the posts here mentioned Alabama style, which I'm not familiar with.  Not likely to go to Bama to try more, either.  I had to toss the bread, since it fell apart from the watery slaw.  The meat was okay, nothing special.  Sauces okay.  Sides were bland, bland, bland.  Mac 'n cheese was bland.  Potato salad was weird.  Potato casserole had no detectable cheese in it.  Baked beans were way too sweet.  I'll stick to K.T's.  The portions were small for the price, also.

Moe's is not KTs. Moe's is not Georgia Boys. However, Moe's is pretty darn good. If you are stuck on the south side of Boulder, and can't wait long enough to drive to KTs; you can do worse than Moe's. Portions were generous, and my ribs were meaty. I won't drive to Boulder just to eat here; but I'd definitely eat here again.

Love this place!  I have to force myself to only eat here once a week. Being a Bama transplant we were pretty happy when they opened. Where do I start?  Love that you can get your pulled pork sandwich "Bama style" (with cole slaw on it of course) and not have to use it as one of your sides. Genius! Oh it feels like home to me!!!!!  My guy always gets the half chicken and its always good. Always!  The sides rock!! Had fried green tomatoes today and they were soooooo yummy!  Also, the broccoli salad is great.  The potato salad-great. Cheese grits-great.  Really I could go on and on but everything we have had here is great, and believe me I think we have had everything. And Consistently!  We have also been to the one in vail and in Huntsville and both are great. They are doing a great job at maintaining their flavor at each place. Awesome!  Oh, and sweet tea!  And banana pudding!  Can you tell I'm excited to have a touch of home here!  Thank the lord baby Jesus! ;)

Below average and overpriced. The brisket was close to being too salty to consume.

Enjoyed my pulled-pork sandwich with mac and cheese and fried green tomatoes.  The sauce on the pork was really zesty and flavorful, and the pork was moist.  The mac and cheese was very rich and the tomatoes, with pickled onions and some buttermilk-type dressing, were a bit thin for my taste but the flavors were spot-on!  The sides looked small, but with the big sandwich I couldn't finish any of it!

My husband really liked the wings, too, and he's very picky about his wings!

I was underwhelmed by this place in pretty much every way.   I feel like it is pretty close to being a pretty special place, but it is just not there.

I was intrigued by this place, for it is close to where I work and had a friend express interest in going, so off we went.  When we first go there, we were met with a huge board of meets and side options, and another board with a bunch more sides.  My friend went to order and after giving what he wanted, the counter girl informed him that they were out of well over half of the options, including the other sides that were handwritten on the other sign.  He asked her why they were on the sign if there weren't available, and she said that they were going to be available at a later point and she didn't want to rewrite them.  When it was my turn to order, I asked what they were out of, for I didn't hear her tell him, she sighed loudly, annoyed she had to say it again, and spouted forth.

Finally we ordered, and got our food.  Marginal at best, not bad, but not good either.  Especially for the price, which is not cheap.

This chain has really been focused on growth recently, but it seems like their quality is not holding up.

Bummed that this place being so close to my work, is such a let down, but alas I shall be eating elsewhere in the future.

I've tried the pulled pork, turkey, and ribs. All were good, none exceptional. Sauces and sides are excellent. Tangy marinated cole slaw is a change from typical mayonaise-based. Fried green tomatoes and pan-fried corn bread are tasty.

Platter portion was sufficient for the price. Sandwich portion a little on the small side for the price. It is strange that a drink comes with every sandwich/platter. Perhaps drop the price a buck or two and make the drink optional? Although, I do love the sweet tea.

Looking forward to trying the wings and catfish.

Decent enough, but not all that memorable. Too many BBQ joints in Colorado forget that, above all, BBQ should be memorable. You should walk out of a BBQ joint already longing to return. Not here. That said -  Very good smoked sausage. Bland ribs. Uninspired sides. Clean bright place. Music too loud. Friendly, happy staff who genuinely seem to enjoy their work. But it's below average Barbeque to me.

The barbecue was decent for a CO place, but too overpriced.  Not worth it at all. I felt like I got a kid's sandwich by accident it was so small. They also make you get a drink with the sandwich meal, even if you want to get beer instead. I tried their ribs, too, but they are nowhere near as good as the Rib House or Hickory House and they are more expensive than Jim 'N Nicks. I would give it 3 stars if it were $2 cheaper and 4 stars if it were $4 cheaper.

Simple Location right off freeway/parkway.  Right next to CU and its dorms.  Better Chain based in the South, so there is street cred.

Gotta say my visit was coloured by the fact that the counterstaff were distractingly attractive- can't say that will work for all.  But I approved.

I had pulled pork and brisket- both were tasty if not awesome.  This place seems solid, not great- but then the ribs were gone by the time I got there 8PM.  But solid in CO is a good start, since their slaw and potato salad were good and fresh, and their cornbread solid AND toasted or fried I think for an extra yum factor.

This place is good.  I hope to find better- but I can keep this a regular spot- I hope the eye-candy alone makes it worthwhile.  Not to say that Boulder doesn't have MORE than its share of hottie salespeople -of all sexes and persuasions as my friends tell me...

Foodwise- I did take out- EXTRA 1$ - and ate well.  No complaints- just a yearning for more...

probably some of the best BBQ you can find in Boulder.  But $10 sandwiches are the cheapest thing on the menu, they come with two small sides and a drink but dont expect to spend less than $10 for a lunch.
