Mojo's is a fantastic small bar.
I've been to many a small venue to see many a small band, and Mojo's has the checklist checked off on the things that you want when you've a hankering to see a show and sip on a beer with your friends.
If dive bars are your thing, Mojo's has it.
If you like craft brews, Mojo's has them.
If you like pizza, Pizza Tree right inside Mojo's has pizza for you to eat.
If you are a fan of outside patio sittin', you are in luck.
In general, if you're a fan of a good time, Mojo's is your place.
Mojo's is awesome. I'd take it over a bigger venue any day. It's definitely a dive-type place showcasing smaller acts, but the crowd is always great and you can get so close to the bands. They have a deck outside if you smoke and a pretty full bar (plus free water in a cooler, so class), and I've never paid more than, say, $14 for a show there. The atmosphere is what I would call perfect. Don't bother buying your ticket ahead of time, just park on the street and bring some cash. Even though they play "smaller" bands I have still seen Ben Kweller, Cursive, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, Love as Laughter, Rogue Wave, etc. etc. and they've all been amazing shows.
Review Source:You can sometimes catch a great show here - this is owned by the same guy that owns the Blue Note, only it's smaller and has more of a hole-in-the-wall vibe. Â
When it's on it's on here, no better place to see a band you really like. Â There's also a massive patio out front for you to smoke on and lots of seating outside. Â Don't pass up seeing your favorite bands here !
I love this place. I have seen national touring acts here as well as local bands, open-mic types, and even some terrible stand-up comedy. Â Drinks are cheap, cover is almost always reasonable, and there are plenty of good spots to stand/sit for good sound. My favorite part: the gigantic outdoor deck!!!! Love it.
