I live a few blocks away but just started to go regularly. It can get very crowded later on, especially weekends. But, we always find a place to sit. The staff is always friendly. There is a good selection of beer. Â The food is very good and plentiful.
I love the jukebox. A wide selection so it isn't the same music being played all the time.
Molly's is a nice little dive bar in League City. Â It's got a solid selection of on-tap beers and is usually pretty busy on weekends. Â
Its biggest limitation is that it used to be a fast food restaurant so it is limited on space and doesn't have any sort of beer garden or anything. Â But they do a good job of maximizing the space they have - there are plenty of tables, TVs, darts, and your standard array of bar video games.
I would say the staff is about average - they are usually pretty friendly, but you can tell when some of them are having a rough night. Â
I've tried a few items off their menu and it is pretty good for bar food.
Overall, if you are in League City and looking to grab a beer, it's as good of a place as any!
This place is a great little neighborhood bar if you are in the League City area. Â You can barely tell the building used to be a Burger King. Â =)
One thing that I enjoy about this place is it feels like a true neighborhood Pub / Bar. Â The staff have always been very friendly and they have a nice selection of beer on tap.
I have never tried any of the food items on the menu, but others seem to enjoy them.
Not a bad place for a hole in the wall out in the 'burbs. Â Went here around 1AM on a Saturday night and it was PACKED. Â It's got a decent selection of draft beer and it's deceptively spacious inside--it's narrow and long. Â It's got your typical Irish bar decor--wood panels, dartboards, antique-y looking beer advertisement mirrors, Guinness memoribilia everywhere. Â Pints were cold and the smoke smell was much less offensive than the other bar I encountered on my suburban sojourn, thanks to a functioning air circulation system.
The staff was a mixed bag. Â The waitress that was working the night I was there was pretty rude; it was busy, but you can be direct and businesslike without projecting borderline rage. Â Bartender was a relatively nice guy--when he said something about how my ID was the "wrong way" I thought he was talking about the orientation of my driver's license and wasn't going to serve me. Â Turns out he was telling me my hair was parted "the wrong way." Â Oops! Â Sorry, dude, I got a little bitchy there before I heard correctly.
Staff-wise, the kicker came at the end of the evening, though. Â When a friend and I left out a different entrance that we came in from, and he said "Where's my car?", the door girl, who was infinitely more intoxicated than anybody in our party, told our designated driver that he should call a cab. When he tried to explain the mistake she drunkenly pleaded with him not to drive, so we just gave in and pretended he was going to drive all the way back to Montrose on 7 or 8 drinks.
When in League City, do as the League Citizens do and have a pint here.
