For being the only remaining bar/nightclub in Grover Beach, it's as decent as it gets. The theme nights are nice, though I really only regularly attend the karaoke nights. As a beer snob, I find this place has been trying a bit too hard on the microbrews, overcharging for Ninkasi at $8-10 and other random specialties that seem to only be pushed by ads around the bar. I rarely order the food, but when I do it comes out okay. I've never utilized the casino as it never seemed all that welcoming. The staff are cool, though often seem disgruntled for some reason or another. For a sports bar, it could do well to ditch the standard definition. I'm often on the fence about this place because it seems to have great potential, but needs to clean up its act a bit. But, hey, it's Grover.
Review Source:While this was our favorite place to go for dancing. Saturday Night 4-20-13 was the most awful night in 5 times i've been there. The bartenders (the black man)service like i owed him my wallet...The 2nd time he gave me service like that. I think will find another place to go enjoy ourselves for an evening of dancing. Yes,the small tip reflects the service from him..and,I still enjoyed watching him throw it to the side and say thanks a lot! Lucky I tipped at all for a crap attitude.
Review Source:I was rather intoxicated the only time I was here, so take that how you will. They charge a cover at the door (It's not the money, it's the principle of charging a cover for a seedy bar in the armpit of AG that gets me), and I kid you not, I was the only patron here who was not completely covered in tattoos. I guess it is an okay place if you want to hear cookie-cutter hip hop/rap and grind up on undesirables but other than that, I can't really think of a good reason to come here. Don't waste your time, you'll have better luck in SLO.
