Monk's Bar

Love this bar. It is beautiful with hard wood floors and bar high tables that would easily fit a party of 6 comfortably. It's clean and the staff is  / had always been amazing each time I go.

They have a nice area off to the side for bands to set up and sell their merchandise.

The downside from a bands perspective is bringing their equipment in via steep stairs as this venue is underground, in the basement. The downside for patrons is being in the basement, your cell phone / internet service is spotty or non-existent. So texting your friends to meet you there or posting to your social media to share you're at Monk;s and letting everyone know who you are seeing isn't happening. The bar has internet but it is password protected and they aren't giving out the password to just anyone! I would recommend unlocking and allowing internet access so patrons and promote the location and bring more attention to events while there.

- Also the turn around time to hear back on booking there is no bueno! I get that you are busy, I get that right NOW everyone wants to play there. But I would hate for you to get a reputation aka big head and slowly lose your appeal for out of area bands to want to play there. You're the "IT" venue right now, customer service, and response to inquiries is key to keeping IT!
