I give them 3 stars for the atmosphere & mediocre drinks.. food not so good we ordered calamari, shrimp street tacos, chicken tenders & a pastrami burger all of the above was just OK... the drinks were OK but the atmosphere was great! Even better that I was able to have my kids with us to drink & eat HUGE plus when out and about.

Better than it used to be that is for sure! I grew up in SD and went to college at UCSD so PB was a stomping ground of mine. I used to regularly go here then and I had stopped because of a few less than entertaining times. It is definitely better than it was then! I went on a Saturday afternoon with a large group of friends for a birthday and sat on the patio. The hostess helped us get a table after we had waited for 5-10 min. The food was pretty good and they had the fights on while we were there so the boys had something to do :) The service was definitely better - our server was pleasant and quick. I would go back after this visit.

Decent food, but not the place to go on a Friday or Saturday night if you're looking for a tranquil evening with a date.  The location is great, though.
