Hook Me Up Hookah Lounge

I've been smoking hookah for a while now, let's say 1 or 2 years now, and I can honestly say that this place has more than exceptional hookah. Unlike many other places I've been to, they actually KNOW the proper way to smoke and prepare hookah. They are experts, they are mix masters and I find myself smoking here for hours with a hookah that doesn't get harsh in like 30 minutes like others places I've been to. The environment is conducive to fun. Very very social and overall great for meeting people of many backgrounds. I gave it a chance and more than having no regrets I find myself deserting hookah lounges of old for the premium tastes of the aforementioned. It only gets better. Give it a shot and I guarantee you that you won't regret your decision. Trust me, I've smoked many hookah, but this place tops it. Even I find myself under the mercy of the masters. "Hook-me-up" is merely an understatement. Go for it, I implore you.

I am addicted to this place! I'm addicted to hookah in general, I have been to almost every hookah lounge in San Diego. Majority of them are over priced starbuzz dispensaries, by this I mean that they take their flavors straight out of a can and bam, there you go. This is not the case at Hook Me Up, Sergey is a Hookah Master, and this is no understatement, It's a title rewarded to him for years of mastering his craft. He is to hookah what a mixologist is to bartending. I have tried over 7 flavors all that have been recommended to me. None have disappointed, The English Breakfast, Ice Apple and Watermelon are all to die for. This is the first time I can honestly say that I'm savoring the taste of what i'm smoking. You can compare this experience to a good quality cigar. With a very diverse menu you will never be disappointed. Have a specific taste you're looking for? Go ahead and ask, Serg has over 9000 combinations in his head... he told me I can smoke a new flavor every day for the next 30 years lmao!

So we have already established that they have the best quality hookah in town, now here is what has me coming back almost every night (I'm literally waiting for my friend to get here so we can go again tonight) The Owners. Never have a I felt so welcomed to an establishment. You enter and you are instantly greeted as if you're part of the family. It can be your very first time there or you can be one of the regulars, the atmosphere is always the same, extremely welcoming. They keep the vibe intact, being in such close proximity to the bars you get the occasional incoherent drunk. I laughed my ass off when I saw one of the owners tell a drunk that the hookahs were 100$ each just to deflect them.

I can go on and on of why this is the place to be. Meet me at the lounge and i'll tell you more... wait until you meet one of our regular "Wesley Snipes." Come on down... 25$ won't break the bank, more than likely the owners are already smoking a popular flavor and will gladly let you taste it before you buy. Trust me that's all you need ;D

Get the earl grey hookah!  The flavor just blew me away... I love tea, I love hookah, so it is the best of both worlds!

All jokes aside, hookah is only 50% of what one needs to really enjoy their time.  The environment and the owners are amazing.  Really chill!  They will let you try flavors you may not necessarily think of ordering... like Dim Sum in a Chinese restaurant.

I would give six stars if I could, because this place is clean, service is great and the product is amazing and truly unique!
