Beaumont's

We found this place by accident, during a holiday weekend. It was nice that they were serving breakfast on a weekday due to the holiday, since I think normally they only have breakfast on the weekend mornings, we found out. We were seated right away, no wait. I ordered the coast toast and I think my boyfriend had eggs or something, I forgot what he ordered! But whatever it was, our breakfasts were both delicious and very filling. The servers were nice and attentive and we did not have to wait long for our food, which I appreciated since I was starving, we had been driving around looking for a place to eat. I would like to come back if we are in the area again.

my girlfriend, nikki took me here for dinner about a year ago. thought it was bit pricy, but good. it was a friday night and i think they had a band or a singer. we sat outside, so couldn't tell. then recently after taking my girlfriend, angela for birthday dinner at mama mia's we went here for dessert and drinks. angela absolutely loved the ambiance and dessert. bon bon ice cream dessert for her birthday was sooo good. my moscow mule wasn't bad either. angela had wine. definitely coming back again.

La Jolla was a nightmare during the 4th of July weekend, and mostly everywhere was crowded. We found Beaumont's because it appeared to be the first place that didn't have a wait time of over an hour. In fact, we were seated immediately which was a plus. The majority of the lunch menu was breakfast, and perhaps I should have ordered breakfast because it seemed to be their speciality. But I was in the mood for lunch, and the Remodeled Grilled Cheese looked promising.

It can all be summed up by average. The grilled cheese was a sad looking panini (very small) that had an extremely fresh kale. However, there was supposed to be horseradish on it, but either it was bland or just M.I.A. My mom's fish tacos were good, but not outstanding. Fries on the side were delicious, and there were quite a lot of them, probably to compensate for the measly grilled cheese. SO MUCH POTENTIAL.

Never went inside, but the outdoor eating area was pretty nice, and the seating was comfortable. Prices were reasonable. I'd advise you to try the breakfast since it seems to be getting pretty decent reviews. And live music is always a plus. Too bad I didn't get to experience either of those things. There are better places in La Jolla, that's all there is to it.
