If you love wine, this and Cucina Urbana have to be your "go-to" restaurants. Â We were a group of 7 early evening on a Friday night. Â We got there early enough to still get some happy hour prices. Â We started with the mac, the mussels, cheese/charcuterie board, and the baked brie. Â I'd say the mussels and the brie were our favorite. Â The cheese/charcuterie board was a bit small, but for the happy hour price, not horrible. Â Everyone got a main course, and all were pleased. Â The biggest hits were the scallops and the burger. Â The short rib sliders were less of a hit. Â The desserts also were well received. Â
Again, if you love wine, its impossible to beat these prices at a restaurant. Â I'd say the food is slightly better at Cucina Urbana, but I enjoy the 3rd Corner's wine selection better. Â If you get there before six, then you can have a great dinner for a great price. Â I need to make it down there a bit more often.
Went there last week for wine tasting for Argentine wine. They were the worst wines I've ever had at a tasting. To top it off, we decided that we wanted to eat dinner there so we let the attendant at the desk know and made it for 7:15. I understand on a night like that with a last minute reservation, we may have a wait. So at 7:20, we asked if they were getting close to setting up our table. He said they didn't and continued to tell us he had no idea when we would be seated. He didn't even do a walk through to see if any tables were finishing. Then he started to argue with us that he didn't know and pretty much started to yell at us. The employee at 3rd Corner was the short little guy with glasses, reddish hair and a beard. He is the rudest person and I wish we would have gotten his name. I will go back because I like the wine and food but will make sure he is NOT there. He should not be in customer service that's for damn sure.
