VFW Post 2422

This place is a gem. Perfectly placed in Coronado. If you want to go have a drink with the warriors that keep our country free this is the place. A real all American outpost of liberty good food and cheap drinks.

The VFW, or "The V" as we call it, is a great place to go for a good, cheap drink. Nothing fancy here, and not just anyone can get in. Luckily, I was sponsored by a vetran so I can go whenever I want! There are absolutely no frills. The people are good and kindhearted and did I mention the drinks are cheap?! I love The V.

They have a Fish Fry night, steak night and do great BBQ (smoked onsite pulled pork).  The post is open to the public for food, but if you want an alcoholic drink you need to be a member or be signed in by one.  I'm not military, but my dad was and I joined via him.  It's $25 bucks a year, and since they are the cheapest food and drink on Coronado, I figure it is well worth my time both here and in nearly every city in America.

If you are up for a family friendly, relaxing place with entertaining conversations, you should stop by sometime, it's non commercial and not a silly national chain...it's real and it's local.
