The Regal Beagle

Came here last Thursday for their HH special Wingsday 3 for $1. We ordered some wings, pints & sausage. German garlic sausage was very peppery than garlicky but still good. Wings were crispy no complaints. Will definitely come back again for HH.

My daughter moved to a new apt across from the Regal Beagle.  We had not heard of it before, although I've been to Blue Water which is literally next door.  This place is about perfect.  Let's start with service.  The bartender's are all knowledgable (which is useful given they have to know about 30 beers, which change regularly). They will give you recommendations, let you taste, and they are always smiling.  Most beers are $6, very reasonable.  The sausage selection is just wonderful. I've tried about 4 kinds and it's hard to pick a favorite.  I love sauerkraut on sausage and their's is just right.  Like the TV names on the chit - fun and doesn't get corny.  Clientele also very friendly - the atmosphere seems to make everyone happy.  Tried the sweet potato fries last time. Wonderful, and so large you need to share. There's a very good reason Regal Beagle averages 4 1/2 stars.

I love craft beer so it's hard to go wrong here.  We went early on a Monday so it's hard to judge the normal vibe but the staff was friendly and funny.  Every time a food order was ready, the cook announced: "order ready for Heathcliff Huxtable".  They're beer menu is posted cleanly and clearly which is nice...sometimes the chalk boards at places like this can get messy and hard to read.  I had the Left Coast Hop Juice Double IPA.  It was delicious! Clea, crisp and citrusy, less hoppy than most IPAs but still delicious and you can't go wrong with 9.4% ABV.  I will hopefully be back to try their food but in the meantime...four stars for delivering what they promise; a large selection of yummy craft beer and a friendly staff.
