I came here with some friends a couple months ago on a night of bar hopping. It was a Thursday night so the place wasn't extremely busy and more laid back.
I loved their cocktail menu, as I'm a fan of Moscow Mules and an even bigger fan of bourbon, so needless to say when I saw the Donkey on the menu I was ecstatic and it was just as good as I expected it to be. My friends and I split the triple dip appetizer and the bread and all three dips were great.
Then, I decided to order an Old Fashioned, which started out great. However, as I moved the orange peel around, I discovered that I'd been sharing my drink with a lovely moth about the color of the orange rind. I flagged down our waitress, who took it back to the bar, and I was then brought out a new, moth-free drink (nice, considering that I had already had about half of the first). I'm a bit sketched out that they didn't notice that, but then again, it blended in with the rind pretty well and the lighting in there was kind of dim and the rest of the place seemed clean, so I was probably just the one unlucky victim of a sneaky moth. Whatever, alcohol kills bug germs, right?
When we were ready to leave, our waitress came out with our bill and informed me that all of my drinks that night were on the house, which to me showed that they really did care about fixing that mistake. I'll definitely be back.
