Love the concept of this place. You get a card, put a $ amount on it and spend away a auto 1 oz. dispensers of wine. Splashes range from $0.99 to $10. They have a good variety of reds, whites, and champagne. The whites and champagnes are on the back wall. Sometimes its difficult to get back there if people are sitting in the bar area, but fellow patrons understand and are always friendly enough to scooch over for you. Some nights they run out (like last night there were not bubblies!) but most times they have a good selection.
The also have olive oil splashes (just ask them for some bread). The food always smells good. I've only tried a bite of others. Love the flat bread pizzas. I'm usually here after dinner. One day I will  have to try more of their food.
Wednesday nights is half off all splashes!
Happy Hour is until 630 with $5 glasses.
When you exhaust your card, you can return it for a $1 chip good for the next time you come back.
Edit: I had a chance to talk to Traci, it's hard to find people that are willing to reach out to customers to get their opinion on things. I will return to Splash because I've yet to see a wine bar in SD with as many options. Or a staff that has been to eager to assist their customers. Being the lush that I am I'll def need to save to  save so I can can attempt to try everything they offer!
Went here pretty early in the day. We were probably the first customers of the day.
I like my buzz early.
We loaded $20 dollars onto a card and it went pretty fast because the tastings are a little pricey.
For food we got the "Splackers"-which were literally saltines baked with spices (they weren't bad and rasperry cream cheese. Not bad but not anything I'd recommend for an outing. On the other hand the flat bread was amaaaaazeballs.
.
Definitely my first experience in a wine lounge of this design. You get a card and load it with money. Then you have 4 different wine stations (3 red and 1 white) that you put your card into the slot and select the wine you would like a "splash" of. The 3 red bars range in price of .99 to $10 or so for a tasting. The 3 bars are low, medium and high prices. The 4th bar is along the wall and that is all the whites. In my opinion there are not very many whites as there are reds.
They have plenty of other specials as well. They have a happy hour and you can get $5 glass of select wines or even $3 bottle of select beers. I did not try the food but I was told that they food was good, especially the flatbreads. I live around the corner and definitely want to come back and give their flatbread a try.
