Pros,
1. Â Very nice environment, great place to enjoy a drink and some finger food.
2. Â The service is great and the employees are very helpful and friendly.
Cons,
1. Â They offer many IPAs but NO San Diego varieties, this is unacceptable!
2. Â They do not accept American Express, even Jack In The Box accepts American Express! Â Let's be realistic folks!
I love wine & wine bars, with that being said, I really wanted to like this place!
Pros: Â Decent selection of wine & sold at retail with a low corking fee, it has an open patio for fresh air & the bathroom was very clean. Â They also have a parking lot so it's easy to park/get in & out. Â Oh, and they were playing good music.
Cons: Â We ordered the "Gourmet Pizza", Mozzarella, Roasted Garlic, Tomato, & Fresh Basil. Â My husband and I both thought it looked & tasted like a frozen pizza with some fresh basil added to disguise it as fresh. Â I have to say it was pretty terrible. Â The service was so-so. Â
Maybe we were just there at a slow time... but it wasn't enough to make us want to go back.
I've only been here once, but I really liked this place! I went on a Saturday night for a birthday. The wine was reasonably priced (about the same as other places in North Park/downtown), and it has great ambience. The decor is cute and very lounge-y with plush leather couches and cozy seating areas for groups. I didn't eat, but a few other people in our party did and the food looked/smelled really good. I liked that it wasn't super crowded, the crowd was pretty mellow, and the servers were all very friendly.
