I went here thinking it would be a cool place just based on the awesome tree thingy they have inside. Â Boy was I wrong. Â I will start with the yoga studio... For one, it sucks to do yoga when there are people at the bar talking up a storm and loudly enough that you can hear their entire convo while you are trying to find some peace in your practice. Â This wouldn't be a big deal except for the pricing is ridiculous, like comparable to Pilgrimage of the Heart, where you don't hear talking and there's a decent bathroom and two studio spaces. Â Who would pay $17 drop in for what they offer there? Â Not to mention all the teachers I went to there except maybe 1 or 2, seemed like they just came out of their teacher education. Â I went there for the last time the other night for a meditation to give the place one last chance and the teacher didn't even show. Â What a waste. Â As for the bar itself, I've only tried that out once. Â The Kava was okay. Â I've had Kava at other places and I'm pretty sure other people have come up with much better recipes and I've had it for cheaper. Â Also, the one time I sat and hung out there I couldn't help but notice the amount of inappropriate conversation going on about drinking and doing drugs. Â The woman sitting next to me was allowing her male companion to put his phone up get skirt and take pictures. Â Wtf?? Â I would rather hang out at a regular coffee shop and make my own Kava at home.
Review Source:We were looking for a place with kava in San Diego and we found this place on Yelp. We got there at around 5 pm on a Saturday and we were the only costumers. The ONE lady working there completely ignored us. We walked in and found our own seat, we were like "Excuse me, we are ready to order", she looked at us for a second but didn't come over. After 5 minutes, I walked to her, ordered two kavas, and paid. Took the drinks back to our seat, finished, and left. Worst service ever!
