Food is too expensive for a brew pub....however, if the food is good....I don't mind paying $10 for a sandwich....but sandwiches were underwhelming....BLT's were stingy with the bacon and the Avocado sandwich was stingy with the avocado....and it was a strange combination.....in fact the avocado sandwich was awful....Listen...fix the food and I might give you more stars. Â Also, didn't really like the seating.....shared benches.....throughout the whole place....some shared benches is okay....but not your whole place...
Review Source:Tiger! Tiger! is definitely a cool gastropub. Although I didn't pair my food offerings with beer, I can tell you my dining experience was great.
Bahn Mi. The bread was toasted perfectly, the pickled veggies were ok, maybe a little too vinegary for my taste, the pork was good, but the sauce kind of killed it for me. Too much sauce but overall good.
Sausage Poutine Fries. The fries were crispy, crunchy, and salty. Mozzarella cheese is drizzled throughout the mountain of fries and cuts of pork sausage. To top it off, the side pork sausage gravy just made this my favorite dish here. Definitely one of the things to order and share here.
Definitely coming back.
As soon as I saw it, I knew I was gonna dig everything about TigerTiger. And I sho did.
Parking might be a little difficult, especially during the weekends/evenings. You may need to drive around a little before you find a spot.
At the door a dude welcomed us and let us know how the place works, which was very helpful! If he didn't let us know, I probably would've stood there staring around and looking completely lost (which happened when we went to Pizza Port!). After getting your IDs checked and your hands stamped and all that jazz, you basically walk in, order at the bar, and seat yourself. The seating is picnic-style, so just squeeze in where you find room to. Definitely a setting where it's easy to strike up a conversation with someone new. It gets a little loud, but less loud if you sit outside.
The woman who took our order was extremely friendly and patient with us as we decided what we wanted. The chalkboard of various, unique beers may look difficult to read first, but it isn't so bad. All of their beers sounded so guuud, I can't wait to sample more of them! They don't have the biggest of menus when it comes to food, but the selection is fairly diverse. It's a really fancy spin on beer munchies. There are even kid-friendly options for both food and drinks! I appreciated the good service too - someone always checked up on us and quickly picked up our empty plates.
The Sausage Poutine Fries were pretty damn good. Perfect salty good eats to go with your beer. The gravy was great and they give you a good amount - perfect sharing food. If you order a sandwich (which is what we did), try dipping it in the gravy as well. I assume legit, Canadian poutine has more cheese. There wasn't a lot of cheese in our "Poutine," so it mostly seemed like gravy fries. Still good nonetheless though.
Bf and I also shared a Toasted Cheese sandwich with bacon and fried egg. I didn't think a sandwich that sounded so plain would be so tasty. Simplicity at it's best. Having it on a french bread made it so goooood. The fried egg sat on top of the sandwich rather than inside of it, which may be slightly problematic if you try to dunk it in poutine gravy, but otherwise it's a-ok.
I had a Hangar 24 Hullabaloo, which I really enjoyed! It was really smooth and refreshing, which was surprising because I don't really have a detailed beer palate (but I'm getting more into it!). I definitely want to try more of their beers.
Good ambiance/food/brew/service = good times!
