Love the concept of this place. You get a card, put a $ amount on it and spend away a auto 1 oz. dispensers of wine. Splashes range from $0.99 to $10. They have a good variety of reds, whites, and champagne. The whites and champagnes are on the back wall. Sometimes its difficult to get back there if people are sitting in the bar area, but fellow patrons understand and are always friendly enough to scooch over for you. Some nights they run out (like last night there were not bubblies!) but most times they have a good selection.
The also have olive oil splashes (just ask them for some bread). The food always smells good. I've only tried a bite of others. Love the flat bread pizzas. I'm usually here after dinner. One day I will  have to try more of their food.
Wednesday nights is half off all splashes!
Happy Hour is until 630 with $5 glasses.
When you exhaust your card, you can return it for a $1 chip good for the next time you come back.
Edit: I had a chance to talk to Traci, it's hard to find people that are willing to reach out to customers to get their opinion on things. I will return to Splash because I've yet to see a wine bar in SD with as many options. Or a staff that has been to eager to assist their customers. Being the lush that I am I'll def need to save to  save so I can can attempt to try everything they offer!
Went here pretty early in the day. We were probably the first customers of the day.
I like my buzz early.
We loaded $20 dollars onto a card and it went pretty fast because the tastings are a little pricey.
For food we got the "Splackers"-which were literally saltines baked with spices (they weren't bad and rasperry cream cheese. Not bad but not anything I'd recommend for an outing. On the other hand the flat bread was amaaaaazeballs.
.
Definitely my first experience in a wine lounge of this design. You get a card and load it with money. Then you have 4 different wine stations (3 red and 1 white) that you put your card into the slot and select the wine you would like a "splash" of. The 3 red bars range in price of .99 to $10 or so for a tasting. The 3 bars are low, medium and high prices. The 4th bar is along the wall and that is all the whites. In my opinion there are not very many whites as there are reds.
They have plenty of other specials as well. They have a happy hour and you can get $5 glass of select wines or even $3 bottle of select beers. I did not try the food but I was told that they food was good, especially the flatbreads. I live around the corner and definitely want to come back and give their flatbread a try.
Love Splash Wine Lounge. It's a mini version of a wine tasting extravaganza with the luxury of it being near my hood. Of course I do love going to places like Temecula or Sonoma, but for a quick wine tasting experience, Splash takes the cake. We started out with the 5 samples of $5, and chose the reds. Some were better than others, but I always find that to be the case. I wouldn't say any of the 5 really stuck out as a favorite. Next my bf got a tasting card and let me try a couple of whites, which were delicious! I can't remember the name, but if I saw the bottle, it would come back to me lol. That's why I could never be a wine snob, b/c I can only remember types of wine I like and not the label name. But, anyways, the tasting card totally rocks my world. Love that you can try 1 oz samples of whatever your heart desires, so much more freedom! The place itself was very small, and pretty cramped if you can't get a seat. You're basically always going to be in the way of people trying to pick new wines to try. But hey, moral of that story is to get there earlier! The only downfall was the service. The woman who was giving out the 5 samples was kind of rude, but maybe she was just having a really hard day...there was a festival going on that day. Besides that, I've already recommended this place to many others, so i hope to get again soon!
Review Source:So any other day, I'm sure this place would have great service because the girls behind the bar seemed nice the brief moment I spoke to them. The girl doing the sampler tastings due to the North Park Festival was simply not the person who should have been doing that. Not only did she not answer my questions regarding the wines and what the differences are, she rushed my decision and seemed to be reading off of a cue card of a description.
If I were only rating the tasting idea and the variety of wines, they'd get a 5! But considering the fact that while standing next to the door for a minute, a metal sign fell on the top of my bare foot (sandals), and no one blinked an eye at me hobbling away? Unbelievable...that was the most pain I'd been in since stubbing a toe really badly and it took someone several minutes of me standing on one foot to get me ice. I realize you guys are busy but, really?
Oh to top it off, they moved the sign against the tree but decided to move it BACK against the door to fall on someone else- law suit ridden.
My wife and I have come here a number of times over the past 2-3 years. Â The ambiance is top notch, and it's nice to be able to sample different wines without having to purchase an entire glass for each.
My only criticism is that prices here are a bit higher than comparable wine bars, and when you order a regular glass of wine, the "pour" tends to be a bit stingy.
Overall, I'd recommend Splash for a low key date night or to hang out and talk with friends, but it's not my favorite wine bar in San Diego.
I have never been to something like this!!! I come from a wine town-Lodi, CA. We have small family wineries with small tasting rooms. Splash's concept is pretty cool. There are 3 CAROUSELS of wines with little dispensers. You place your pre-loaded card into the machine and select which wine to taste. On average, each tasting is $2-$5 regular price. The name SPLASH is perfect for this business- the wine dispensers really just dispense a SPLASH. To get a half glass, its at least $10. But the novelty of it makes it very interesting. I heard there is a good cheap offer on Tuesdays. Might have to go back because I love the concept! You try a bunch of different wines and you can take a bottle home!
I was very happy to discover they offered a wine from my hometown, Lodi. Its good to be recognized! I tried several wines from Hungary, which tended to have a deeper, fruity, darker tone to the red wines.
The food itself was delicious!!! My group had:
Spinach and Artichoke Dip- DIVINE. best s&a dip i have ever had! The texture was so creamy and melt-in your mouth.
Brie Cheese Dip-This one was really good too. It tasted like BBQ!!! I think they use a raspberry chipotle sauce on it.
Pesto and sundried tomato goat cheese dip- this one was pretty good too!
Splash flatbread- very delicious too!!! I love the bit of balsamic on top.
I honestly thought I had written a review for Splash long before today. I'm shocked I hadn't. This is a place I take every single out of town friend and people new to SD. It is a favorite date spot because there are so many conversation starters here. You can spend $20 and have a nice amount of wine and try out new selections without having to buy a bottle and hope. The concept is unique and fun. For a while I was going often enough that the owner (who often works there) recognized me. The flatbread pizzas are delicious.
Review Source:Favorite wine bar in SD and love that it is in North Park and walking distance for me.
I love the way that the bar is set up to have people choose and sample different wines. I cannot get enough of this place and able to just get a taste of everything my heart desires. You basically go to the back of the bar and purchase a card with whatever amount of money you would want to put on it. Grab a glass and sample away. I also loved their flat bread with chicken and artichoke. Yum!!!!
They also have some jewelry that are made from recycled wine bottle which I thought is totally cool.
Overall, great place to hang out and sample and be a wino
Splash Wine Lounge is located in the North Park neighborhood of San Diego. It is a great place to spend a relaxed night. Â Splash is a nice social venue for dates or small group outings. Â You can either buy wines by the glass, bottle, or buy a tasting card. Â If you don't use all of your money on your tasting card within the evening, you have one year to use the remaining balance. Â Turn in your empty card by the end of the night and you receive a $1 token to use next time. Â
There are wine stations that dispense 1 ounce servings of each wine for tasting. Â They have a wide variety of red wines and white wines. Â You can also sample the various olive oils they have. Â The red wine dispensers are near the front of the lounge in the middle. Â The white wines are located towards the back so you get a good variety of both. Â My fave red wine was the Blackjack! Â I didn't try to the food, but will return to do so as everything looked delicious. Â
Overall, had a great time at Splash Wine Lounge. Â The space is a little small and intimate so smaller parties are probably better for this location. Â Parking is a little rough on the weekends, so we had to park in one of the pay lots. Â Also, there is a tree right in front of the sign so keep your eyes open if visiting this place for the first time. Â Easy to miss if driving down the street quickly, but a true gem once you find it.
Several Tuesday evenings I have found myself in this North Park gem.
I was lucky enough to have a friend walk me through this place for the first time. Â
We walked to the back bar and loaded up our Splash cards with the bartender. Â Splash cards are a point system the bar uses to rate their wines. Â You swipe your card, points are deducted and you get your fill on a killer wine selection.
I will warn you that if you're a lush like me, you'll eventually want to start filling your mouth directly from the wine spout. Â THIS IS NOT RECOMMENDED.
You'd be better off stuffing your face with one of their delicious flat breads or cheese boards. Â
Maybe I'll see you there on A Double Splash Tuesday. Â Double points for HALF the price. Â BOOM! (or should I say Splash?)
Not much of a red wine fan.
Only liked 2 dessert wines they had.
Sangria was just okay.
Drinks aside - they had good flatbread pizzas, brie dip, different types of cheeses, cream cheese chipotle dip with crackers.
Small space overall, but you can have a good time if you're a wine drinker since you get to sample a wide variety for a decent price.
I love this place! It's heaven for a person like me who can be very indecisive and not want to commit to something entirely. Their service is generally pretty friendly and their happy hour specials are just ok, but they have a pretty substantial selection and variety of wine and their food is always good! Love their flatbreads and mini caprese! As long as they're open, I'll keep coming!
Review Source:This is a great place for wine and food. My friends and I went there last night and we just loved everything about it. The food was great we had the white pizza and the artichoke dip. We also had the sangria and I have to say that's the best sangria I've ever had. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is excellent for a night out or a romantic date.
Review Source:My boyfriend's date idea... brownie points, yo!
I fell in love with this place right as I walked in. It is very cozy and intimate, dim lighting, industrial looking furniture and just SO MANY WINES. For an indecisive person like me, it is a safe haven that frees you from the anxiety of having to commit. I was so happy with the thought of being able to try wines that someone like me could never afford. What a great idea!
Let me explain how it works: you grab a card from the bartender that you load with a fixed amount (try $20 for your first time). Then you swipe that card in a digital machine that reads it and deducts the amount that the wine you want to try costs (from $.50-$6). You grab a wine glass and it dispenses the liquid gold. Easy, right?
Food is ordered through the bartender was well. We came on Wine Wednesday and service as slow but everyone was so nice that it didn't even matter. Â For dessert they had a great tiramisu. Overall, a great date with awesome wine and food :) It ended up being a little pricier than we though but that's only because we ordered a 3 course meal.
I attended a bachelorette party here. We took up the big table back by the bar. I had a really great time. Everyone was able to buy their own tasting cards, the food was AWESOME, and we even got pitchers of their delicious sangria. Our waitress was really sweet and attentive. I loved being able to read about the wine I was about to taste. I do wish that there was more of a white wine selection, because I'm not too crazy about red wine. Other than that I definitely loved this place.
Review Source:Splash helps me take my fanciness to a whole new level. My pinky is gonna get all cramped up pretty soon.
I get the tasting card because I don't know sh*t about wine (but I pretend I do), and the card allows you to sample wines, a 1-oz pour at a time. But by the time I leave, guess what? I know that I like Tempranillo, Sangiovese and Malbec. And Marlborough for whites.
See? I learned something new today.
Oh and the best part! HALF OFF TUESDAYS. Which means you can get tore up off a $15 card. Not that I would know that from personal experience. Like, at all.
They also serve small plates like baked brie with raspberry sauce and artichoke dip, which you can dip with apples or gluten free crackers. During happy hour (ends at 6pm) appetizers/small plates are just $5.
Pinkies up, foo's.
Ok this place is the best! They just opened for lunch about 3 months ago and the flat bread pizzas are AMAZING! I work around the corner so I eat there often.YUM
Happy hour 10% of wines I believe come on you can't beat it..
Spinach ,goat cheese pizza try it tell Tracy the owner Douglas loves this pizza on Yelp ;-)
My entire salon eats this pizza at least 3 time a month or more yum I want one right now gotta go laters.....
I love this place!!!
So basically you go up to the register and you can either buy glasses of wine from their menu or you can choose to put $$ on a card for the "splash" tastings. You can insert your card into the little doo-hickey R2D2 machine, select which wine you want, push a button and VOILA-you haz a wine sample! They have spendy wines down to lower priced varieties.
Splash also has a variety of different flatbreads and appys to choose from. I recommend the baked brie with raspberry chipotle sauce (served with apple slices instead of bread). It's HEAVENLY. I've also had the spinach artichoke dip and the splackers (raspberry chipotle cream cheese & crackers). You can get both with gluten-free crackers too!! HOORAY!!
On my 3rd trip, I came for 1/2 off Tuesday Happy Hour. P.S. this place gets hella PACKED like a mofo on Tuesdays. Come earlier to snag a table. It's basically 1/2 off all wines and splashes. They have $5 appys too. It's a sweet deal and a good way to sample some of the more expensive varieties of wine.
One of the organizations I volunteer for was hosting an event here so I decided to check it out beforehand with a date.
Luckily, we stumbled upon happy hour on our visit. They have a terrific happy hour menu as well as daily specials. That night we got a $5 free wine tasting credit with a purchase of a $20 card and tried some of their discounted food options.
Their food and service shows a genuine care for their customers' satisfaction. You order at the register, then find your own seating where they deliver your food. Â
The spinach and artichoke dip, though seemingly small in size, was packed with delicious flavors. The dip was served with fresh bread and no filler cheese or cream was used in this appetizer.
We also ordered a flatbread pizza. We had decided on one variety, but the waitress actually suggested that we try another since our selection had very a very similar flavor profile as the artichoke dip. I really appreciated this extra gesture of concern for our dining experience. Â
I felt like eating vegetarian while my date wanted meat, so we added chicken to the flatbread for $1.50. I thought I'd be able to pick off the chicken easily, but they added so many pieces of chicken that I couldn't avoid it! So if you're contemplating the addition of meat, it's definitely worth the extra buck and a half. Â
As for the wine, this place reminds me of a cross between Dave & Busters and a tea cafe that sells boba drinks. Upon entering, you load up a card with credits. You grab a glass from atop the machines, insert a card, then press the button to dispense a pour of the wine of your choice. Fun!
If you have leftover credit, you can keep the card and use it on your next visit. If you bring back the card to recycle, they will reward you with a $1 credit. The prices ranged from cheaper wines as low as $0.99 to fancier wines (like Bordeaux) at over $8. It's not quite an arcade like Dave & Busters, but they do have some board games, like chess and connect four, that you'll often find at tea cafes. Â
Whatever you liken it to, Splash is a great little spot to do a DIY wine tasting and enjoy some nibbles as well. They did a great job accommodating our event and I'd recommend this spot for fun dates as well.
Half price Tuesday! Tasters are half priced on Tuesdays on an already killer deal.
If you are feeling hungry, get the Splash flat bread. The balsamic reduction is amazing. Plenty to share and complements the wine well. I love their other apps too, but the flat bread is a killer deal and delicious.
Lets be honest here, I love the idea of tasters, but I will not lie, sometimes I get a little lazy and grab 3 (or 6) of one that like so that I can grab a seat and chat with my friends instead of trying multiple wines. I mean, it's not really cheating, right?
I loved the vibe of the place as soon as I walked in! It was busy, but not hectic, full but not crowded, on a Friday night!
The staff was super helpful and everyone was pretty chill in groups of 2-8.
There were some great wines available, my date and I hit all three tables of reds, and loved most....most impressive was the Chocolate-Raspberry/Cherry flavored Merlot Port from Argentina(?)....it smelled as good as it tasted = AMAZING!! Â And for only $22 a bottle, how could you go wrong?? I'm definitely going back and using it as a choice place to buy specific wines that I liked while there!!
Splash is a great concept in wine bar and wine tasting. Dimly lit , a dark ambiance with a casual yet classy twist., plenty of seating.
How To Guide:
Step up to the bar and prepay for a card, I'd say $20 per person is sufficient, and they often have some sort of deal. Park yourself at a table. Now that you have money on your card it's time to sample as many 1oz wines as you desire, there are 70+ varieties... Like something? You can fill up til the glass is full. Or move on to something new. The choice is yours.
The card reader closest to your wine of choice is the one you want to use. Insert card, and press the button above your wine of choice. Press again for an additional one ounce pour. The three circular stations in the center are for red wine and in the back there is a refrigerated white and dessert wine wall.
Near the back, at the bar, is self-serve water. Hungry? Order a pizza, cheese plate, or one of the other yummy appetizers.
A perfect spot for a fun date night.
*If you return your card, they give you a $1 off token towards next time!
What a great, little hidden gem in North Park. Â I went here a couple weeks ago for a friend's birthday party on a Friday night. Â This was going to be the first spot of the night, although I wish we stayed here all night! Â The ambiance was romantical, with low lighting and smooth music. Â The entire vibe of the place was right up my alley. Â
This place is unique to all other wine bars because of their wine tasting approach. Â First of all, you load up a card with whatever dollar amount you desire. Â Then you take a glass and walk around 3 different tables of wines where the bottles are all turned upside down. Â You slide your card in the machine and select which wine you want to taste. Â The price ranges from $1.25 to $5 per taste. Â You keep sliding you card for every taste you want. Â This is such a great idea! Â You can taste so many different wines or just stick to one wine...the choice is yours. Â I am partial to the Malbec's so I spent all my money on the Malbec tastings. Â At the end of the night, if you still have money on your card, you just keep it for the next visit. Â If you spend it out, you can actually return it to the front bar for a $1 token for a future visit. Â What a great deal!
I didn't get to taste any of their food since we were only passing through, but I am sure that they must have some decent choices to pair with the wine. Â I will have to just have to come back and then update my review. Â This place is a MUST if you are a wine lover...I know I am!
I came here for a friend's birthday party.. I had heard good things about this place from several friends, but not being a fan of North Park, and the parking sucks anywhere, I went for the solidarity of our friend. I loved this place..its so relaxed, and not pretentious, the staff  was awesome, and the people who were there drinking were chill. Â
I love the idea of trying different wines for not alot of cash. The wines and their prices vary per ounce from 50 cents to 10 dollars..The night we were there, it was buy 40 dollar card for wine and get 10 bucks free..so I drank the 10 dollars worth of wine  free and have 40 bucks left for another time, the card can be used at any time  whenever you want to come back.  Tuesday night is half price on all wines and if you have foursquare and check in regularly, you get 1/2 priced appetizers..I love this joint and if you love wine go there NOW!!!
I've had some pretty terrible experiences lately with service at various establishments. So to put it kindly, I'm a *little* sensitive in this area. I like the concept and the very relaxed, comfy vibe of this place. The Tuesday special (machines are all half off!) is awesome. I am totally confused by the fact that they have a patio but you can't have any alcohol on it. I'm not quite sure why you would head to a wine bar and not...drink wine. Wine Steals has a patio so it seems odd to me that this is the case.
There seemed to be only one person working at the bar and one in the kitchen. There was a bit of a rush when I got there. I tried to keep all of these things in mind when the following series of unfortunate events occurred. My card didn't work initially. Then it only had 5 cents on it. Eventually the right amount registered and after being there for 20 minutes, I was finally able to start drinking wine. We ordered the charcutrie plate. After another 20 minutes, they brought out a meaty pizza instead. Eventually we got the right order with lots of apologies and a few extras.
This sounds like it should be a 1 or 2 star review, right? This may be the wine talking but, they were all so friendly and apologetic that I have to give them props for dealing with my terrible mood. OKay, that mood was a result of the service but they kept calmed, carried on and managed this cranky customer expertly.
I love this place. What a great idea! :) They have good food here too, not just great wine. They also have games if you feel like your up for a challenge!
The only thing I didn't like was that it was hard to get the bartender/servers attention when they were always MIA.
Get a glass - or try out many different flavors per poor. average around $2-4 per poor.
Oh, and they always have an interesting movie playing in the back of the room. lol
Splash was so much fun. I don't really know a lot about wine so it was fun to walk around and try different kinds. My favorite was the Montefiore sweet red wine. So much so that I went back the next day to buy a bottle.
The idea of the place is super creative, the ambience was great, the food was delicious and the wine was tasty! All great things :)
Will be back and recommend to anyone in the area, ESPECIALLY on Tuesday's.
I am hooked!
My best friend in the ENTIRE world decided she wanted to go here to try it out for her birthday "dinner". Which was Tuesday and we got there for their 3p-630p happy hour so the ounces were half off anywhere from $.63 to $5.00. Interesting concept this place. It is an EXCELLENT way to test and explore different types of wine. we spent over 60 bucks in here and we each got $20 tasting cards, a flatbread which was DELICIOUS, and a cheese board.
The tasting cards are almost like a dave and busters kinda thing. but instead of games its little 1 ounce tastes of wine. you place your card in the slot of which ever rack your selection is on, walk over to your bottle, press the button and it dispenses it into your glass. and it will take the amount off your tasting card. at each station they have these baskets of pencils and little paper squares to write down your likes and dislikes(which is totally optional)
ALSO! they have the same concept for a small section of olive oil and vinager. there are these small dishes you place under either olive oil, extra virgin with white truffle (absolutely amazing btw), a basic extra virgin olive oil, and a lovely balsamic vinager. and then you just ask the waitress for bread to test it out.
There are board games around the whole place to enjoy and have fun with. yahtzee scrabble scatagories chess checkers...etc.
The staff is SUPER friendly and very knowledgable on all the wines they serve as well as what wines pair well with foods and cheeses and what not.
Bottom line is i will more than definitely be back!!! :)
I'm a drunk.
(the fun sexy kind though, not the annoying "Can you spare some changeee" kind)
Thought that would be relevant information.
So coming to this wine bar was refreshing! I had never really been to a bar/restaurant that was geared strictly for those who enjoyed wine so I didnt know what to expect. But the fact that I could sample several options of wine by simply loading a card and sticking it in a slot for dispensing was fun!
I enjoyed the white pizza, but was not a big fan of the bbq chicken pizza. eh.
Great place to try!
I don't frequent wine bars too often but Splash is the type of place you want to go over and over again.
The first time I came, I literally spent over 2 hours soaking up conversation with my friend over a bottle of J.Bouchon Sauvignon Blanc 2010. The atmosphere is so cozy, comfortable and intimate.
Besides the ambiance, this particular bottle of wine was so good I came back to Splash a second time and purchased a whole box of bottles from them as I couldn't find the wine distributed anywhere within San Diego! It is a rare find and I'm glad that Splash carries such a variety of distinctive and and delicious wines.
The staff has been nothing but friendly and accommodating! Next time, I'd like to try more of their appetizers and their olive oil station along with another bottle of wine!
Splash is fantastic!
Love the concept of this wine bar! They have a bunch of different wines with spigots set to 1 oz. pours. You load up a card with money and then insert the card at whatever station has the wine you want to taste. I think all pours were under $3 which is great if you want to give a wine a try before committing to a glass of it, but I just opted to sample different wines all night. Again, I'm a fan of sweet white wine and they had an amazing moscato, Golan Moscato I believe. This is a must try if you are fan of sweet whites like I am.
They had a deal on the pre-paid card where you pay $40 and get $50. It was enough for four people to have a little over a full glass of wine each. One of the bussers informed me that Tuesdays are the day to come as they s(p)lash the prices in half on  the machines so you can taste some wines for as cheap as fifty cents! I will definitely be back for that. Good thing I didn't know about this place while I was doing my student teaching in the area or I wouldn't have gotten any lesson planning done!
We ordered the Mediterranean pizza, Charcuterie (Salami) and Cheese, and the Mini Caprese. All were delicious! Now, the reason I can't give Splash the elusive 5 star rating is because the service was horrid. Yes, it is a self-serve bar but the food took ages to come out and then it took another 20 minutes to get silverware and only after my boyfriend went up to ask a few times and I went up to ask once. It was a little ridiculous. I didn't even dare try to flag someone down to get a refill on my water (I couldn't find the self-serve water refill). The strange thing is that it wasn't even too busy especially for a Friday night. Oh well, at least the food and wine were all excellent so I'll be back! :)
So I came here tonight with my best friend per her recommendation, as she's been here prior with her boyfriend. Disclaimer, I rarely drink so this was a brand new experience for me. The ambiance was really cute and intimate, so I'd definitely recommend Splash for a date or just as a place for friends to congregate.
We decided to purchase $25 drink tickets each. The man behind the counter gave us the rundown of how everything worked, meanwhile my inner monologue had 'homina homina homina' on repeat. This guy was so god damn good looking that it was distracting. But I digress.
For a newbie like me, it was actually kind of exciting to sample new wines in such small portions. Not intimidating at all, like one would assume. Well, like I would assume because I get anxiety about everything. The first two I had were dry(which i didn't like), but the last one was pretty good. Granted I had no clue what to look for as my palette hasn't graduated beyond orange juice. There were AT LEAST 100 wines to sample, so between the two of us we barely made a dent.
Going against my gluten-free diet, we were in 'fat bitch' mode and ordered the goat cheese dip and the mushroom pizza. Both were simple and delicious. Although, I would have preferred the dip to come alongside diagonally-cut baguette bread, rather than cubed bread. And served with a decorative butter knife, not a spoon. But that's unimportant. I blame my friend, though, for the 500 calories I'm going to have to burn tomorrow on the treadmill. That. Bitch.
The damage done: I still had $17 left on my $25 ticket. Really Joey, what were you thinking? It was half-off night, though. On the bright side, it provides a legitimate excuse for me to come back and cliche-ly write my phone number on the bill next time around.
Ok so their regular happy hour isn't my fave because it ends at 6 and only select wines are on special ($3), oh but the pizza is %25 off and select snacks just $5 so if you're one of the lucky people that can actually make it to enjoy a happy hour before 6pm then you definitely want to check it out
FOR THE REST OF US, GO ON TUESDAY! Â All night you have 72 wines at Half Price!
Wednesday is only slightly less appealing, Still an all night special with select wines just $3.
Please note- if it's not happy hour or an all evening special night, you will most likely spend more money than you're comfortable with...
But hey the food is good, the ambiance is lovely and some times you just need to get out of the house regardless of the price and if that's the case Splash is a great escape.
Good food, good wine, good ambiance. Â It is ALL GOOD! Â We had a flatbread pizza that was pretty much like a margherita pizza, and a cheese platter. Â And lots, and lots of wine! Â There are so many to choose from! Â Ended up taking home a bottle of the black moscato (yumm!)
Its a great opportunity to taste lots of different wines without having to go to lots of different wineries (or traveling). Â I hope to get back here very soon!
I had no idea this place existed until I yelp-ed it! It's a bit on the smaller side especially for a wine place, and you could easily miss it while driving by if you're not familiar with the location, but my first visit here was good. Â The servers were all helpful, and I love that they have a wine sampler option- really cool because you go around the wine bar and the filter automatically pours into your glass! how cute! :) Â
Anyways, my friend and I shared a pizza- or flat bread than with cheese and fresh veggies- YUMMY. I was very surprised at how good it was, and our wine was a great compliment to the food. Would love to come back soon.
I love small, intimate wine bars and splash is exactly that. Â We went in the middle of the week, so it wasn't very busy. Â They have a nice wine selection (72!!!) and 1 ounce tastes are available via the self serve machines. Â Just purchase a pre-paid card and go wild wine tasting! Â If you taste something you like, they do have it available by the glass and by the bottle. Â
I started with a glass of their Tincho (sparkling white wine, lime & ice), which was really nice and refreshing. Â I also had a glass of rose (Simply Sweet, Washington) which I enjoyed so much that I even got a second glass. Â The BF had a dry brut from Argentina and a moscato from Italy. Â Both good choices. Â We also shared their Ricotta and Mushroom Flatbread Pizza (garlic, olive oil, mozzarella, spinach, mushrooms, fresh ricotta and truffle oil), which we added chicken to. Â It was flavorful, fresh, and delicious! Â Next thing we knew, we gobbled the whole thing up. Â I think it is perfect for two people to share. Â
Service is nice and friendly. Â I thought it was great that they were showing old Little Rascals movies on the projector screen. Â They were funny! Â They are also smart and keep a self serve water cooler handy (got to hydrate!). Â
The only thing I don't like is that the restroom is in the hallway and shared with the adjacent business.
We will definitely be back. Â Maybe on Tuesday since it's half off splashes.
