Trisler's Wine Bar

We love stopping here for a bottle of wine.  The owner is very friendly and always remembers us.  Wish they had a little better appetizer selection but that's not what we really go here for anyway!

So when I had friends who lived in the Promenade I did come here a lot more often. I'm a bit farther away now, but still love to swing by here from time to time. Its hidden away in the Promenade apartment complex and not very easily found from the street. I am glad that they've managed to stay in business, even being in such off the beaten path location.  As others have mentioned, Stephanie is awesome. Shas a very impressive knowledge of wines and knows their wine list in and out. Their happy hour is a great deals, a Tue - Thurs a selection of wines for $5 and on Mondays 1/2 any of their open wines by the glass. In addition to a great wine list, they also have a selection of cheese and meat boards that are well suited for pairings with the wine. The list may seem to be a bit short, but they frequently change them out for new selections. Plus its nice not to be overwhelmed with dozens and dozens of options. The atmosphere is quite cozy and relaxed. I love how it is a independent, non-chain wine bar in the middle of Mission Valley. Great spot to meet friends, take a date, or just swing by on your way home from work!

Stephanie, the owner makes a bomb artichoke dip to die for! I loved the Malbec and Madere. This wine bar gives all the others in San Diego a good run for the money. Plus, what's not to love about a small business owner with great taste in wine?
