I love this place and recommended it for both lunch and dinner. Â This place has all the beer you would expect on tap and the food is very tasty. Â I have eaten in Ireland and this is the closed thing to traditional Irish food outside the Emerald Isle. Â I love their boxtys and their Shepherd's Pie (although it is technically cottage pie since they use ground beef). Â My friends have enjoyed the corned beef sandwich, so I'll have to try it some time. Â The staff are friendly and the decor is fun to look at. Â This tiny pub crammed between trendy restaurants in the Gaslamp is exactly what I'm looking for when I want some good Irish food and am feeling too lazy to cook it myself. Â If you can't make the 12 hour flights to Ireland, try this place!
Join the VIP Club (it's free to join) and get 15% off your bill every time you visit and show them your VIP card when they ring you up. Â I also frequently get emails for buy one get one free meals as well. Â Nice!
The fish and chips are amazing! The small size is actually a good portion size. There were nice, crispy, and fresh. I loved their homemade tarter sauce. I also went here for happy hour and got the Irish Coffee and it was really good. I am not a big coffee drinker and I was so happy they had decaf available and it was present so pretty with a clover leaf of chocolate powder on top of the foam. Our waiter was also very friendly and I loved his Boston accent. The cook actually stopped at our table to chat with us and ask if we liked everything. I really felt welcome at this restaurant. This is one the places I took my family that live out of town because I believe this is the best place for authentic fish and chips. I look forward in trying their Shepard's Pie and other cuisines.
