I have been here twice, and I love this place. It is really close to my house and I never would have expected such a stellar place to be hidden over here. They have a great alcohol selection - sangria made with cinnamon, honey and nutmeg. Dear me, I could have drank the whole pitcher! The first time I ever came, I came with one of my best friends. We love a good meal! We had their cheese plate, a delicious frisee and pear salad, and we split their chicken entree. All of it blew our minds! At the time, they had a dessert special which was a pumpkin and squash bread pudding. It was not overly sweet, but it was fluffy and the flavor was so perfectly balanced.
I came in once for brunch, and their coffee is delicious. Its fair trade and really nice and strong. The food was delicious - but they overcooked both our steaks, so that was a little sad. I am sure they would have fixed it, had I asked, but I hate asking people to fix an overcooked steak - I mean, that basically means you're asking them to start again and waste a perfectly good piece of meat. I ate it anyways, and it still tasted good - so I guess thats a sign!
Went for happy hour with a friend and was truly underwhelmed by the food. Had the brussel sprouts which were drowning in kimchi which was flavorless and just extremely spicy; so much so that it was difficult to eat. The mac and cheese had a nice texture but the cheese sauce was suprisingly bland given it included gorgonzola. Finally the veggie farro was also lacking in flavor. Nice space and service but won't be back too soon for the food.
Review Source:I love this place. They are so friendly and accommodating. I just feel really comfortable here. It's somewhat upscale but laid back. I feel classy when I'm there, even if I've just come from a yoga class at Mosaic and am still sweaty in my gym clothes. Every time I've brought someone here, they've been impressed.
Their Brussels sprouts are some of the best in town.
