Cheap beer selections, especially on their pint nights. Â Good local draft selection. Â Not the best pours though, often the pint glasses are filled to the brim and spilling over - which would be fine, but there aren't really any napkins around.
Sunday Bloody Mary brunch is always nice too! Â I think that Kokyu is permanently parked there - so often I'll go just for a beer and delicious food truck food.
I was here recently for a two-day festival, and logged quite a few hours between the two bars and outdoor benches and food trucks. Overall, the space is definitely cool, the beer list is cheap and satisfying, and the bathrooms didn't gross me out.
My beef, however, is that on the first night, the sound was just rotten in the smaller bar. It was impossible to hear the vocals, and at one point even a fan got onstage to complain into the mic. All the while, the sound guy was eating a sandwich and didn't seem to be paying much attention. Second night, though, everything was fixed and sounded fine.
The second day, my boyfriend and I came around noon for the Bloody Mary brunch, but all that seemed to be happening was a few guys milling around, stools on top of the bars, and no bartenders in sight. We ended up having to leave because we weren't helped. Generally, when someone is open for business, I would hope that actually entails doing.. business. With customers. So it goes, Motorco.
