My husband and i went in for breakfast at nine thirty on a monday morning  we each ordered-two scrambled eggs  it wasnt crowded a party of six ordered just in front of  us after twenty five minutes and no food  for anyone (nothing came out of the kitchen )we left but i did notice as a reviewer in front of me said there was food left on others plates
Review Source:Recently we ventured out for breakfast. Â When the first place we went to had a long waiting line, we decided to try the Mug by The Bay. Â We entered it and found it to be very clean and inviting. Â The tip off should have been when one of my companions said, look at the table of the people who just left, half of the food is still there.
We ordered pretty standard breakfasts, I had a pancake, the others ordered eggs, and one ordered the special. Â Once we got the food, we had the same result, it was bland and tasteless, and once I got the bill, found out it was a bit pricey - $40 with tip for 3 people. Â Unless they do something to the food, I will continue down the highway to Meridith in the future.
Hopefully this is just start up pains.
The Mug By The Bay opened up in the former Sam & Rosie's Cafe & Bakery location in Center Harbor. The space was totally renovated and looks very nice and inviting with a fully carpeted dining room and bar area (with several beers on tap) and blue painted walls. Looks nothing like its predecessor, that's fo-sure! However, there are only 8 tables in the dining room (up to 4-6 people per table), plus a few high seats at the bar.
The Mug By The Bay serves up breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily offering the traditional breakfast dishes until 12PM, lunch menu is served 11AM-5PM, and dinner nightly at 5PM. Pizza is offered starting at 11AM. I stopped by for lunch takeout recently and ordered the Chicken Caesar Wrap ($6.99) served with homemade Mug chips. The staff was friendly and the order was ready in about 10 minutes after I ordered.
The wrap I had tasted pretty good, which had diced breaded chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, carrot, & Caesar dressing in a spinach (green) wrap. The Mug chips were crunchy outside and firm on the inside. I wish the potato chips I buy at the store were always like this.
I would stop in here again for another meal if I happen to be passing through the area again for work or for a weekend drive. I will have to try out one of their 3 egg omelets served with latkes and toast.
