Went there tonight with friends. Service was friendly, food selection was very good. Only thing that was wrong was he cheddar ale soup. Very bitter and had a string flour taste, no cheddar taste at all. We were all very impressed with the selection of food, everything else was incredibly, we will definitely return minus ordering the soup. You will not be disappointed.

We've just moved to the area so muldoons is our 'local'.  It's a typical pub - a little old and in need of updating but they have a good selection of booze and the bar staff are really friendly.  The manager, Ian, and chef (I forget his name) are constantly working the floor and really making sure people are comfortable.  My other half has eaten here several times and said all his choices have been great.  Friday night he convinced me to try it too (what can I say - I'm a food snob and usually prefer eating in proper restaurants), but I was happily and pleasantly surprised.  For starters we shared a plate of flat bread with goats cheese, hummus, peppers, olives and watercress; and for mains I had scottish salmon skewers on arugula while the other half had rack of lamb.  My salmon was cooked to perfection (as was the perfectly grilled asparagus accompanying it); the lamb was declared tender, moist and fantastic.  We didn't do dessert as Cliff's Ice Cream is just next door and who can resist Cliff's!

great place that we just discovered. wife had shepards pie, and i had the lamb shank. meals came with salad or soup. we both had the salad. the salad was very good - nicely balanced; all the veggies were fresh. the shepards pie and lamb shank  were quite outstanding. the lamb was falling off the bone, and so tender and flavorful. when we come back i'll have a hard time not getting that again - but there were plenty of other good things to try on the menu. the atmosphere was also terrific. welcoming and  friendly

Good little local for a drink and some basic grub. The Mexican Pizza fed me for 3 days. Score!

I've eaten here many times!  my husband actually proposed to me here.  The food is always good and the service is also good, I would recommend this eatery.  They have a tuna on the menu that is excellent!

We have been coming here for years and although it doesn't look like much from the outside, the food is spectacular. I have yet to have a bad meal. Lots to choose from, gourmet meals in addition to standard classics and Irish dinners. Service can sometimes be slow, but overall it is a great place!

This place is great. Not the fastest service, but it's because they are making your food to order.  The owner is the nicest guy yyou'll meet. He shook our hands and thanked us for coming before showing us to our table.

Tuna steak salad with sesame ginger vinigarette was fresh and light.  And my boyfriend really enjoyed the pot roast sandwich andfries. We were there over lunch on a Saturday and the bartender was also the server - she did a great job and was very friendly.

This is one of my wife's favorite places. The people are nice. The food is average. The bar is very cozy and a good place to watch a game.

The Sheppard's Pie is so greasy, you won't need to chew your food to swallow it.  If this appeals to you, by all means - go!  The bar is probably fine (it's a pub, how can you go wrong?) but to call this place's food "excellent" and "top notch" (you REALLY need to get out more, Mark L) is downright wrong.

The service was the only saving grace (it was average).

Speaking as a New Yorker who has been patronizing (ok, living in) pubs in all 5 boroughs for the past 25 years, Muldoon's burger is among the best, and the fries are the best. That's all I can say after my one visit, but it's obviously a huge endorsement.  I was stunned.  Ledgewood?

Came here for drinks with a bunch of people. The place was pretty packed. Were going to grab something to eat but they were no longer serving food at the time so we just sat down and had some drinks. The prices wheren't to bad and the crowed was pretty friendly. It'll be worth checking out again, to try there food.

Muldoon's is one of the best kept secrets in Morris County.  It is a small, friendly place with a bar and small dining room.  Ian is a wonderful host and immediately makes you feel welcome.
We've been going there for a couple of years.  Although we have ordered off the regular menu, we usually order off the "specials" menu which is a typed page inserted into the menue.  The chef makes so many wonder "specials" it's always hard to choose.  The presentation and food on the special menue is just as good if not better than any five star restaurant we've ever been to.

Why would you eat here?  Its a bar, plain and simple.  The food's not great and the service is ok I guess...
But, the bar is cool.  Great Karaoke, fun people, good bartenders an all around good stop for nightlife.  Just don't waste your money on the food, go to the black river barn down the street if you wanna eat.

This place is GREAT for karaoke! I had a blast here last night singing my heart out and grabbing a few drinks.

We arrived at Muldoon's around 9:30pm on a Saturday night, ready to celebrate a birthday and have a good time. The crowd was older, but definitely fun -- especially since we heard some oldies (but goodies!) being crooned out over the microphone.

There were a lot of regulars, who were very friendly and encouraging to everyone singing. As one of them put it, it has a Cheers feel to it... where everyone knows your name!

Allen, the DJ, was absolutely faaaaabulous and danced along to every song (and made sure everyone got their turn), and everyone there swayed and danced to the music.

Didn't have any food, so I can't comment on that... The only downside, I would say, is that there's only one stall in the bathroom, which led to a bit of a wait at times. But the place isn't huge so it doesn't surprise me that there weren't that many stalls available.

Other than that, once the karaoke got hoppin' there was no stopping the crowd till the wee hours of the mornin'!

Good food though a bit pricier than similar places in the area.

I've been going to Muldoon's for a couple of years now and noticed the bar is always filled with the same faces.  Muldoon's has that neighborhood pub feel, lots of regulars friendly bartenders, everyone knows everyone paired with fantastic food.

Typically we'll go to Muldoon's on a Friday or Saturday night and as soon as we walk in the door Rachel has a Smithwicks and Captain and Coke waiting for us.

You can find their daily menu on their website and everything on it is very good, I'm a fan of the Chicken Murhpy and the Shepards Pie but the fish and chips and pene a la vodka are good too.  But the specials are what to get; they differ every night and they are always what I would call gourmet.  Certainly not what you would expect from driving by.

My husband and I have been coming here for years! The food is always great! Our favorite nighst are when the manager, Ian, is working. He is attentive to all the patrons and he makes an outstanding dessert that my husband gets every time and sometimes just goes and gets it to go! It's the English Toffee!

Note the menu on their website is just their daily menu, they have a great specials menu as well for dinner that is always changing.

They always give you way too much to eat, so be prepared to bring some home!
