Overall: An exercise in how not to run an establishment.
My friends and I wanted to go out and grab a couple drinks, so we thought The English Pub would be a perfect meeting spot. Unfortunately things started to go downhill fast. After the hostess asked how many were in our party she just walked away. We were confused as if we were to follow her or perhaps she was checking on a table, I don't know. She turned around when she was 10 steps away and waved us over, oh OK we were supposed to follow her.
We sat outside because the inside was packed, which was fine with us. Two of our party hadn't arrived yet so our server asked if we wanted to wait until they got there to order. Heck no, we wanted drinks ASAP. I asked our server, Kyle, what beers were on tap and he proceeded to name off all the American beers (Bud, Bud Lite, Coors, etc.) first. I thought we were at an English Pub! I ordered a Stella when he finally named it off. One friend tried to order a Bass, nope they don't have it. Then he tried to order a Harp and Kyle said, "I have never seen that here. I can ask if we have it." Seriously? My friend just got a Bud Lite.
The rest of our party was running late, but Kyle and the hostess asked us if they were still planning to join us about four separate times. We thought we were holding up a table or something, but as we looked around we saw several open tables in the outdoor area. At that point we just felt unwelcome and wanted to leave. We signed the receipt and Kyle came over, abruptly grabbed the receipt to look at his tip, then looked at us and said, "Have a good night." Wow, what a mess. We left as fast as we could.
TL;DR: Service is lacking but if you must go, sit at the bar and cross your fingers for good service.
