We got the LivingSocial deal, so the price was 50% off. Â So, that obviously makes things a better value for me. Â They ended up screwing up my reservation dates, and I didn't find out until they called to ask me why I wasn't showing up in Feb. Â I realized they made an error, and I also made a mistake by not confirming the confirmation email. Â We were able to work something out, and they got me my original reservation dates. Â However, they had to UPGRADE me to a really nice room. Â And boy, what a nice room it was.
Our room is really nice. Â It sits on the corner, and there are NO adjoining rooms. Â So, it's quiet. Â I can't say if the walls are thin or not. Â The views are not so great, but the area is pretty. Â The supposed stream they have that runs by the property is more like a trickle. Â It's most definitely not what one would imagine. Â However, the lodge is cute, and I mostly enjoyed our stay here. Â The front desk people are really pleasant. Â Since the restaurant was closed, they provided in suite "breakfast" baskets that consisted of fruit, muffins, juice, granola bars, and crackers. Â Definitely not a hearty or good breakfast, but it makes for good snacking along hiking trails. Â
The surrounding areas are really nice. Â I took many evening walks, and I found lots of nice picture oppty's. Â With the sun setting, and the lighting they have around the place, the place feels super cozy. Â It made me pine for mountain living. Â Anyways, your mileage may vary. Â
Wifi reception is kinda spotty if you don't have a laptop with decent wifi reception. Â Tablets and smartphones can be problematic depending on your room.
Anyways, I'm a fan of the place.
