Just saw A Flock of Seagulls @ new wave last night. Great show! Very intimate. Drinks were decently priced and cocktail list looked amazing. Jenette, our cocktail server was consistent, urgent, kind, personable, always smiling, and very helpful. Sound was rocky at first but like any show, you just have to work the kinks out. I will most definitely be revisiting this venue again in the near future.
Review Source:Went here to listen to some friends Depeche mode cover  band play (they were awesome btw!),
From the outside It looks a little scary but its a fun trip to the past. The walls are lined with 80's album covers and posters. The televisions playing what looks like the pioneer days of MTV. The menu pays tribute to the iconic pop culture of the decade (I had the karate kid quesadilla)
The food was nothing to write home about and the waitress seemed unorganized. To their defense I don't think they were expecting the turnout they had for the show so perhaps they were just overwhelmed with volume.
They have a separate room for karaoke. There was a handful of colorful folks in there singing obscure tunes. I got the feeling they were regulars and if you dare sing girls just wanna have fun they'd be outraged!
It was an odd but totally tubular evening. I'd definitely go again... Perhaps I'll brush up on my concrete blonde and storm the karaoke stage!
