Food was ok, but service was horrible.  It was slow and unprofessional.   Everyone in my group was so turned off that none of us have been back.  

I got the idea they made their money from the off-track betting area and the food was an after thought?

No idea on what the betting area is like, as this does not interest me.

Okay, you are travelling from the DC area to Atlantic City for an overnight gambling excursion.  It's a long trip to AC all in one haul, and you're hungry.  What do you do?  Stop at Nottingham's Family Restaurant, A/K/A North East Racing & Sports Club.  It's about 1 and 1/2 to two hours into your trip, you've cleared Baltimore, and you're just shy of the Del-Mem Bridge.  So relax and bet some ponies while you have any standard thing you can think of (burgs,dogs,cheesesteak,any sandwich at all really), but also maybe a blue plate special ($9.49) of meatloaf (also a sandwich), pot roast, fish & chips (excellent), hot Carolina turkey (piled on bread with gravy and two vegetables), etc. etc.  Or an entree of Maryland crab cakes, grilled salmon, chicken marsala, NY strip, baby back ribs...this place seriously wants to feed you, and everything I've had is good.  But just bet a few races, get something to hold you over, and keep moving toward Atlantic City...you can stop back again on your way back.
