A GREAT PLACE TO DRINK ON THE CHEAP!
this place is a great, low drama sports bar, snack bar and bowling alley all in one!
very friendly and attentive bartenders and staff,$3 16oz budlight, coorslight, millerlite, and PBR,s,$3 drink specials sunday-thurs day and night!
great snacks like a good sized portion of fried zuc and seasoned fries for $4.75,great low carb pizzas, tasty patty melts, wings, etc!
just dont get the nachos, they suck!
also free freshly popped movie theater style popcorn, yummy!
i cant comment on the bowling,i just come here to relax, watch all the good sports games on there many large flat screen tvs(around 10 or 12 plus 1 huge like 10 foot drop down projection screen) drink $3 beers, and eat some tasty snacks here and sometimes play free trivia or play pool.
they get all the games, they get all the sports packages and have both cable and direct tv.
they have free trivia and all hot spot and ca lotto games too.
Just got back from shooting pool here, not a bad spot. Looks a little dodgy from outside but inside has a decent atmosphere.
Some good beer specials, I was drinking the blue bud lights for $3 a piece whilst shooting pool upstairs. Chose the upstairs as it was less crowded.
The tables could do with a tune-up, we used the middle one upstairs for one game but it was full of 'stains' so we switched to the first table near the bar which was cleaner but not very level.
Overall a cheap fun night out, no reason not to go back.
36 lane bowling alley.
Special prices on some days of the week such as 7$ for 2 hours and shoe rental included. (Gotta call them or check there website)
Can't find anywhere that has a better price than this right now.
Not an all kind of entertainment place but pretty good for bowling.
This place has a little of everything that you would want in a bar. And then some...
* Two story lounge area
* Bowling Alley Â
* Arcade corner
* Bar, (bar inside Bowling Alley too)
* Pool Tables
* Drink prices are pretty good
* No IPA brew ( ._.)
* Plenty of parking
* Oh yeah and there are ugly people around these areas.
I do not bowl very often, but sometimes I get the urge to throw the bowling balls, and have a little competition with my friends. Bowling is a great way to have everyone come together and have a little bit of fun.
Oak Tree Lanes is the closest one in my area. They have amazing deals in the early morning and even late nights, check their website for them! I usually go during their specials, cheaper than the already great prices. My friends and I love to have competitions and punishment games for the losers. Great atmosphere to be in, though sometimes a little too loud. An arcade to play in during rest time. The food however is pricey, but what can you expect?
When I was young, I came here for birthday parties. Now I have group hang outs. This is the place to be.
While my friends and I were down south, we decided to go bowling since we would be deprived of bowling for the week we were in SoCal. I looked for bowling alleys in the area and this place popped up because of the "good" reviews. Right when I walked in, I noticed the limited amount of balls. That didn't matter much because we all had our own balls, but seriously? This is a bowling alley, right? Where are all the balls?? Plus, there was no oil what so ever on the lanes. It was just way too dry.
I also noticed that half the reviews here start out talking about the lanes, then move on to praise the bar. Well, go review the bar, not the lanes. Inaccurate reviews much? Don't give people the impression that the alley is good when it clearly isn't.
Food prices are ridiculous, but can't blame them; gotta get profit somehow. the layout of the building is a typical bowling venue. obviously not much should matter if you're going for fun or a true bowler. the place satisfies your bowling needs easily. good place. good fun. solid prices. lots of coupons if you go to their website or sign up for their little special newsletters. some of the employees seem grumpy, but as long as you have manners, they're more than happy to answer your questions or help you out.
Review Source:Nice lanes! Â Bowling should be fun and I have had way more fun here than the newer bowling alley, Chaparral 300, in Chino Hills. Â Oak Tree is not brand new but far from a dive. Â The Oak Tree Lanes also have a fairly large bar hidden in the far corner down a couple stairs. Â Drinks are moderately priced and games are slightly less than some of the other comparable alleys around. Â They have an adequate snack bar and I actually really enjoyed their pizza.
On the down side, they have a limited number of different ball weights and finger holes which can make it kinda tough depending on what kind of ball you need.
I had been coming here ever since I was a little kid, for birthday parties and etc. Not much has changed since then, though they finally did get better score screens and machines but other than that, I feel like the balls are the same. It's a great place to bowl inexpensively but not the best place to bowl.
Had not been here in a few years until this past January for a friend's birthday party on a Saturday night and we were able to bowl 2 hours (1 hour cosmic and another regular) and it was just a great time. It is fun and it is a great way to get to know people in the group that you may not have really known before.
They do have great deals here and there so make sure to look those up or call the front desk (such as Sunday morning deals and etc). Customer service is great.
This is a great place to just hang out and have a good time. We came here to shoot pool and have a couple of drinks. It's much cheaper than other bowling/pool places.
The pool area is pretty big. There's a bar and even additional seating upstairs which is more of a private area (for those who want that).
Drinks: A
White Gummy & Tokyo Tea, both very good.
Food: B
Mozzarella Sticks & Fries - They weren't hot but they weren't bad for bar food.
Chicken Quesadilla - The chicken inside was fried which is something I never had in a Quesadilla before, but it wasn't bad. It was accompanied by a plastic pouch of sour cream and a cup of salsa.
I tend to get hungry when I drink so the food did it's job for me. lol However, if I had came here JUST to eat, well... I wouldn't.
After 9pm, it's 21+ (for the pool/bar area, bowling is open). They have TVs and music. It's a great place to chill, drink, and shoot some pool.
I will definitely be back.
For our date this past Monday, my girlfriend took me out to Oak Tree Lanes. Â She wanted to see me bowl, and I wanted to show her how to bowl, so we took advantage of the MLK deal they had going (2 hours for $7.99 each - bonus!).
While the lanes are smaller than the ones at home, the alley's clean and the staff are friendly. Â The arcade section of Oak Tree Lanes is actually pretty spacious, and they even have a ticket redemption counter!
I'm curious as to see what's on the upstairs area of the alley... that said, we had a pretty good time here!
Came here on a Sunday with a bunch of friends to celebrate a birthday.
Took advantage of a pretty good deal for $49.99 that includes bowling, shoe rental, whole pizza and a pitcher of drink for 5 people. Good deal for $10 each.
We didn't have a problem getting 4 lanes for our group.
it was also pretty cool that they had a bar where we can get some drinks.
Only thing is that they could could use some new bowling balls cause a lot of them were scuffed up, but hey we're amateurs!
I've been bowling here ever since i started, its a good place to go too.
The deals are ridiculously good!
you'd be like "WOAH! 1 dollar a game?!" and like "2 Dollar mix drinks?"
Service is great, everyone that works here is really nice, I used to go here everyday for a good month then it started becoming twice a week, then once a week then twice a month. Work gets overwhelming sometimes but this place is great for just taking your mind off of it and just becoming one with the lane.
Reason why I only gave 4 star is because I really don't like their bowling shop there. I had a ball drilled there and the guy messed up it wasn't smooth on my thumb it was really ridged and parts where sharp. I would think they would at least blow on the shavings from the thumb hole. All that was still in there, highly suggest a REAL specialist. That is if your going to buy your own ball and shoes an stuff.
Bowling... Always fun... Always Great... and Always satisfying...
Oak Tree Lanes was the opposite of that... As soon as I stepped into this bowling center, I felt like I stepped into 1970's (they did not intend to make it look like that).
Everything was falling apart in the building. The panels on the ceiling where all out of place. The designs on the walls were so out of date that it made the atmosphere and the experience of bowling unbearable. The Kitchen looked so disastrous that nobody ate from it. The wood paneling as you enter the complex was disgusting to look at. The bowling balls were all banged and scratched up that it looked like somebody rolled it down the grand canyon.
The Customer service was terrible and the bowling systems they had were out of date. The systems took so long to reload the bowling pins. It got slower and slower throughout the game that we had to press the reset button multiple times. It was so slow that at times we would through the ball prematurely and accidentally hit the machinery that was placing the pins onto the alley. We eventually got yelled at the end by this unprofessional owner saying that if we ever hit it again that he would close our lane down and charge us for the damages. We would not be hitting the machinery that was placing the pins down if you upgrade your system. It was a terribly slow system that prevented us from utilizing our paid time to its fullest potential.
We only went to Oak Tree Lanes because we had a Groupon towards this place. We admire Groupon to  a great extent because it gives small business a fighting chance to get people to try their establishment. Groupon should never allow this place to give out a deal ever again. We told Groupon of the troubles we went through at this place and happily gave us a refund.
I highly recommend going somewhere else like Round 1 in City of Industry. Everything is updated and the atmosphere is great. Even after bowling you have a great variety of arcade games you can play. It is even connected to the mall which makes it convenient for shopping.
On top of the bad environment at Oak Tree Lanes, the lane that they gave us smelled like a bathroom. It smelled so disgusting that everybody within the group could not stand it! The smell was so overpowering at times that one of our members had to step out to a different location to take a breath!
Never again will I come back to this bowling place!
Living within walking distance of a bowling alley and having some time off during the summer + special deals = too much fun. If you're in the area and just want to bowl and have some fun, Oak Tree Lanes is a good place to go. It's your typical bowling/bar/small arcade/pool hall center you can find in most towns. That's probably what I like most about it. It feels comfortable. It's fun seeing the regulars come in to the place, especially the league players who practice early in the mornings. My friends and I watched this regular who nearly bowled a perfect game. I believe he went 9 strikes in and finally missed one, but still got a 290 or something. That's 200 more than I'd ever get. =P
Anyway, stop by if you live in the area and want to bowl for a bit. Great for kids or friends who can't bowl. Nothing quite as fun as having to put up the bumpers for them. =)
I love this place!
Pros:
Great price! If you go on Monday nights its only a dollar! The guy in the pro shop is super nice! His name is Chris, you should meet him. The locals that go there are really nice and friendly.
Cons:
Front desk people could be a little nicer, and the speed bumps outside suck!
Not one of the best lanes I've ever visited.
Lanes: Â Super Oily
House shoes: Smelly
Food: Â Garlic fries are really good!
Restroom: Smelled like a restroom
Price: Â too much for this place
Staff: Â super friendly
Worst part was the Scoring machines kept scoring my friends falsely saying they picked up spares and knocked down pins they didn't.. I still won but that's not exceptable.. If I'd lost to one of my friends because of that I'd go ape mad! Â Haha
Would I return to Oak Tree Lanes? Â NO
* I bumped them up 1 star because of the delicious garlic fries!
I am editing my previous review ( i did it a year ago)
So you can catch me here Tues, Thurs, Fri, and Saturdays.. Okay well maybe not that much but at least twice a week. I now love this place, I am even a rewards member.
I recently got better at bowling (YAY for me!! thumbs up)
PROS:
-cheap deals Tues and Thurs ($2 games I believe)
-Fri and Saturday night deals are also pretty good.
-Saturday nights cosmic -$13 per person including shoes until closing time (and yes they play that song every every "closing time")
-good food deals on certain nights
-yummy garlic fries!!!!!!!
-rewards card (AWESOME!) you earn a percentage of what you pay so you can save it and use it to pay for your next visit)
-on Fri and Sat nights they have raffles as long as you put your info in
-fri and sat (not sure about sunday) they also have colored pins and if you get a strike with a centered colored pin you get a free pass)
-the male staff are pretty cool (two of them that I always see working there are awesome ..carlos and the other dude with a small pony tail..sorry I forgot your name)
-clean bathrooms
-THIS IS WHERE I BECAME A GOOD BOWLER hahahah
CONS:
-far from my house
-a little older
-ummm the food people are not nice sometimes :(
-balls are kinda old and chipped (idk if thats really bad)
Overall:
I love the place for the prices and good experience!! FUN FUN FUN!!!
My old review:
It always smells funky in here.
the place is ok..its old..nothing fancy schmancy
I come here because they usually have good deals even though I prefer cosmic bowling.
The staff is whatever..they are never friendly and take long for service or you have to go up to them after pressing the service button.
I had my birthday done at 300 bowling in Anaheim and wow what a better experience. this one is out go to because its closeby and cheaper.
All bowling places to me should smell a little, have sketchy type characters in the dark corners, and should hold cosmic bowling nights on the weekends.
This place fits the bill, it has over 30 lanes, snack bar, and well that's about it. Â This place looks a little dated inside however that just means it has a little soul, nothing bad with that. Â For $10 you get shoes and 2 hours of bowling, fairly good deal for cosmic bowling. Â
Definitely a good place to hit up when it's Friday; you ain't got no job... and you ain't got nothing to do.
Oh man oak tree lanes.
It's a nostalgic bug bite that leaves a little red bump on your skin (and your memory). Used to come here when I wasn't old enough to hit up clubs, and wanted a night of "crayziness". Â I must've been around 14 then.
The atmosphere is fun, in a very PG sort of way. You can tell that this spot has had all sorts of people bowl through its lanes over the years. I kinda like how they haven't changed much of it either.
I've gone to a few kiddie bowling parties here too! Really cool place for parties, everyone always has a blast.
It's a bit run down, and the equip has definitely seen better days, but overall, not a bad place for a chill night out.
A decent place to bowl, very family- and kid-friendly.
Things to note:
1. Bumpers have to be raised manually, so make sure to ask the front desk if you want them up
2. Nice arcade with prizes/tickets. Bring a couple dollars for tokens,
3. Deals on Sunday mornings and late night--I think it's $1/game during those times
4. Snack bar makes the place smell like fried food :)
5. They play classic rock instead of Top 40's, which is a nice change.
It's bowling. Â It's clean. Â It's decently priced. Â A-OK, indeed.
A major plus: they organize their bowling balls by weight - no more walking up and down the floor trying to find something suitable. Â I hate having to scour everywhere for a 12-pound ball...here, they're right between the piles of 11- and 13-pounders.
Went on a Saturday night, and ended up paying $24 for one hour at a lane. Â It's a bit steep unless you have a decent-sized group to go with. Â Anyways, if you have an urge to bowl, stop by here and get your bowling on.
This place rules! I haven't bowled in more than 10 years and yesterday's return to the lanes was well worth the wait. Kaye and I were celebrating her birthday and my law school departure. We started with drinks at the bar from a supernice bartender who let us know what the special was immediately. It was $2 for Cape Cods up until 9 p.m. After that, the drinks were still supercheap. I had Stoli Blueberrys with soda water and my bf had Hefs all night; each round came out to be only $9.25. AWESOME!! Bowling was also really cheap. It was $24 for an hour and it doesn't matter how many people are bowling in the lane. They also had karaoke in the bar and I had to liven up the party with some Shakira. haha.
Too bad I'm moving next week to Santa Clara to begin law school. I'd love to come to Oak Tree Lanes more often!
This review pertains to the bar as I am a sub-sub-sub par bowler and am an Olympic level boozer.
So while the Oak Tree bar doesn't offer much in the way of glamor and there are many a bro and Dbag that probably call this place home sometimes you gotta admit to yourself you're not as young as you used to be or as ritzy as you imagine yourself to be. Â On such an introspective night I find myself at Oak Tree 3 miles from my home rather than blowing a wad on drinks, parking, and gas 40 miles away in LA.
Oak Tree is what you'd expect but the drinks are cheap ($5 for a strong margarita!) and there are plenty o' pool tables. Â Bring good company and a strong liver and you will be happy.
Going to Oak Tree Lanes is a nice middle point when I meet my friends from the I.E. Â I'm by no means a "regular" but when I'm there I do feel like family.
Saturday nights are pretty rad cause they have karaoke and as the night goes on, people really let loose. Â They have your classics to today's chart toppers, wow that sounded cheesy. Â Let's just say the karaoke selection ranged from The Beatles to Kanye West.
The bartenders have a heavy hand so be careful when you order those creepers like Long Islands and kamikazes. Â If you're just trying to have a kick back weekend and want to get out for the night, try this place out, they have bowling, billiards, and the yummiest drinks.
They just upgraded the place - with LCD screens and fancy cup holders! Sure, the bowling's a bit pricey after 5:00 PM, but hey, it's an ideal place for dates. After all, this was the first place where me and my girl first got some alone time together. Not to mention, they also have Cosmic Bowling, where all the lights go out, and everything starts glowing in the dark! It's bloody awesome, and so much fun!
And if bowling isn't your thing, they've got a great arcade in there - DDR, Marvel vs Capcom 2, House of the Dead, Air Hockey, Pinball, Galaga, and Pacman. Whenever I'm bored with some quarters in my pockets, this is the place where you'd usually find me.
If the arcade isn't enough for you, I usually do some male bonding in the Sports Bar playing some cue ball. Only people over 14 before 9 PM - afterwards, it's 21 and over. Yeah, it's the place that offers the most fun in Diamond Bar. Yeah, I have a lot of memories in that place.
Luckily for me, I'm fortunate enough to live so close to it that I could just walk down there. If you're looking for a place to get drunk, flirt with people, or just have some good ol' fun, check out Oak Tree Lanes! It's most especially crowded during the holidays and weekends.
