I haven't been here late, but it sure is noisy in the afternoons...and empty.

Great hot wings, beer and service. I used to hit this place every tuesday evening after dropping my son off for hip-hop and break dance class at Gotta Dance. Only issue I have with this place was having to fight through the smokers lounge at the front door, not to mention the 1000 cig butts in the parking lot. My suggestion to management was that they need to move the smoking area around the side of the building and not directly by the front door. As a non-smoker, I'd rather not have to deal with this and go elsewhere. Enjoy!!

Nothing "irish" about it. Horrible food, horrible atmosphere and horrible.......horrible service!  If I could give negative stars I would.  Never again!

Ate here for the first time today with the wife. I was pleased. The staff was super friendly and Dan(I am pretty sure that was his name) was engaging and even asked for our names which was pretty neat.  We ordered 24 wings and Guinness on Tap while we chatted up with Dan.  We used to go to Oh'Mulligans for the wings and beer but this place is so much closer and the wings are just as good.

Great place to watch a NFL game (they even shove all the obnoxious steeler fans into a back room).  Even better place to watch a college game as nobody around here cares about college football and you can have your choice of seats and games.
Pretty good bar food.  Some of the apps are very obviously poured out of a frozen bag into the oil, but the chips are great.  Decent priced beer.  Great servers.

Good food, and service, not so much on environment.
I walked in and it had a friendly atmosphere. There were a few regulars there. The bartender was very nice and made sure I was doing well. The specials for lunch were a good deal. The food was fresh and very filling. The drinks were mixed well.

The decor was slightly Irish, and that is about all that was Irish. If you are looking for good food and a place to relax then check it out. I can tell this place would get noisy in the evenings.

My bride and I decided to do a little Sunday afternoon exploring after church and we found our way to this little strip mall and decided to try O'Dwyers for lunch.  As we walked in the door we greeted from across a nearly empty room and told "Y'all can sit anywhere you want!"

The TV was loud and proud, with the sound piping through speakers throughout the entire place. The race was coming on, so conversation was difficult over the noise of revving engines and DW's race commentary.  As we perused the menu, we noticed the lack of anything "Irish" and my bride said something to the effect that she was trying to figure out why it was identified as an "Irish Pub."  Maybe it was the sign in the window indicating they served Guinness, or maybe the Reuben sandwich, which was the only corned beef on the menu, or maybe the fact that the place was painted green or lastly, maybe because an Irish flag was flying in the establishment.

We noticed "fish & chips" on the menu and inquired as to the kind of fish. Turns out it's haddock, YES!!!!  I asked about the soup of the day and the answer was "I'm sorry, we don't have soup anymore, we just haven't updated the menu."  That was a killjoy.

It took nearly 45 minutes for our meals to be delivered, but I give the server credit for coming over to tell us the fish needed to be thawed before they could batter it.  When it WAS delivered, the haddock was pretty good, and that's all I've got to say about that.  Drinks were kept refilled consistently.

My impressions:  Okay food, typical for bar fare as others have pointed out.  The drab interior really needs a face lift.  Keep the green if you like, but if a place is going to claim to be an Irish Pub, they should make an effort to actually be an Irish Pub as opposed to "typical" for any local sports bar; just painted green.

Not really anything Irish about this bar.  The food is standard pub fare, with no Irish dishes on the menu. Burgers, Pizza?, WIngs, Wraps?

Also the beer specials are pretty much all domestic.

Food is ok, but it's basically just a bar w/TVs.

I was here for the first time to meet with  some friends of ours who come here often to watch the slate of NFL games.  As I walked in for the first time, I liked it cause the had many screens of various sizes up, and it was not very crowded...if was about 12:50...ten min to  kickoff....cool...

While their decor is not as refined as some of the Ale Houses or Fox n Hound in the Triangle area, but they had each of the one o'clock games on multiple HDTV's through out the place....basically if you wanted to get comfortable in front of your teams game, you had plenty of chance to do so....

The staff were all friendly and engaging....we sat there for 4 hours, and the people behind the bar were attentive to what we wanted....they took our food, drink and "buy him a round" orders fine, with no delay or problem.....

The beef sandwich I had was not top notch, but not dNext time I come here I will try the wings, as I saw many orders being brought out of the kitchen to the ever growing crowd throughout the restaurant....but , dang I'm getting fat, so i had to pass...

I will come here again...got no qualms....if you wanna watch your fave team in a nice friendly setting, try Odoyers...Its not as "refined" as a Ale House, but if you lookin to watch your favorite team and get good service, hit up ODwyers.

At some point, I'm not even sure if I should write this review, as it looks like Yelp is filtering all the Bad reviews out. But oh well, I'm going for it.

Keep in mind, I used to hang out at O'Dwyer's. That was a few years ago when the new Owner took over. It was a great local Sports Bar with interesting people and damn good food. I would choose to go here over The Ale House most times back then. Over the course of time, I'm not sure what has happened to this place. It used to be a solid 4, maybe even 5 star establishment. It's now taken a turn, and one down a dark alley at that.

The Food - Even with the downturn, and I might be wrong on this one too since it's been awhile since I've eaten here, the food has been consistently above average to excellent. The diversity among the menu is good, and their spinach dip and Reuben is A+ stuff. I did however walk in the other night, say around 8, and they were out of Spinach Dip. I'll let it slide and you can keep the star.

The Drink - Nothing really stands out. They do run some good specials, but its mostly on lowbrow stuff, like PBR and Genny Light (Yes, you just read that correctly...and worse, its on tap). The diversity in food doesn't match the beer. Its standard 5 taps, maybe 7, and nothing thrilling.

The Atmosphere - I don't know what this place is trying to be. Family Place (not when you just killed the kids eat free on Wednesdays)? Sports bar (Not when i consistently have to ask for a game to be put on. And yes, I've had a bartender say "well, you just may not be able to watch that"). Restaurant (not when your drunk local barflies are within yards of your tables)? There is a 'game room" in the back, but it's so far separated from the rest of it, that it makes you feel kind of like you could get shanked and left for dead and no one would know. The outside seating is so makeshift that it makes it seem like you could bring your own stuff to setup on the sidewalk. Lastly, and this is probably a good thing, I just don't believe so because of what they were... the place is too light, they painted it 2 years ago, in a bright color, and its not good. I liked it when it was dark.

The Staff - It's one of the only ways this place gets another star. I've liked almost all of their bartenders. They've all been friendly, funny, attentive and make you feel home when you get there, even if it's been a year since you came. The only bad part to the staff, and this leads into my Extras...

The Extras - I swear to you, the owner was so completely sauced the other night, that he proceeded to have a coaster fight across the bar WITH ANOTHER PATRON. I couldn't even begin to make this up, or tell you how much it was astonishingly embarrassing to see. And it's not just me that was embarrassed. The coaster fight went on and on, to the point that the bartender, yes, his own employee, had to tell them she wasn't going to put up with it anymore. And who could blame her. A) She was in the middle of it as they flung coasters through the center of the bar, and B) it affects her tips at some point.

In the end I can't believe how far this place has fallen. I may never set foot in it again, which is a shame because their staff is really cool and their food can be excellent.

Good place to grab a beer and wings while watching the game on one of the sixteen available TVs.  I wouldn't leave this place before trying an order of their house Potato chips and if your daring maybe with a little ranch dressing.
