Let me tell you about this wonderful little place around the corner from my parent's home. Â
I am here from NY because my Mother had a heart attack several weeks ago and got released from rehab last week. Â
It has been a stressful time for all, as you can well imagine. Â
Even before Mom came home family was gutting and rehabbing her bathroom so she could get around and Ola's was where the day started. Â The food was quick, good and well priced. Â The people both in front of the counter and behind the counter were so kind.
After Mom got home this is where I spent each morning after sleeping all night in my work out clothes on the couch. Â I would duck out so Pop could try and establish a routine. Â Naturally Ola's is where I went.
I was greeted each morning by the best coffee in town and queries about my Mother's health and how my family was holding up. Â Coffee flowing as I would text the family about Mom's night and the morning.
Lots of laughter, lots of community in this wonderful little place.
I give it a ton of stars and two thumbs way up.
Thank you!
Down-home cooking, this is a cute little restaurant serving up some comforting country food. Â Their 'Ola's Cheeseburger' was alright, but I heard that their steamer isn't on on the weekends, and their gravy is off the hook (I'll try it out next time!). Â The Beef chips was great - it was a buttery garlicy toast with some gravy and bits of meat on top - very gravy-ish, thick, and fulfilling. Â Wash it down with a can of coke and you're good to go. Â Prices are decent, and they serve some fried steak, chicken wings, burgers, hot cakes, etc. Â Service was friendly, and the bathroom was clean!
