So, we should have asked locals where to go for good mexican food. Â Unfortunately, we previously visited "The Bank" and were thoroughly disappointed with that place. Â So we saw this place and thought we would give it a try. Â We sat at the bar on the back patio and the ambience of sitting outside and watching a game at a bar is cool, but that is about the only thing that was good. Â Don't expect service with a smile. We didn't get a smile at all from our server who was manning the bar. Â Food was heavy, greasy, and the kind of mexican food that just makes you feel like cr@p and tired. Â The chips had been fried in the fryer too long and were heavily greased and brown...some of them were stale. Â My guess is they are not emptying the old ones, and just pouring in the new chips. Â Overall, we wouldn't go back for the food. Â We would go back to have beers and watch a game out there, but nothing else.
Review Source:I can't think of one negative thing to say about it. Old Town Cantina feels like you are in a huge back yard patio in which someone has added an open air bar and restaurant. Low priced Mexican food and beer and lots of TV's to watch  your favorite games. Just off the main Old Town strip which I think lends to the chill atmosphere.
Review Source:Oh man...I really want to like this place...but everytime we go in there the food is different. I work right next to it and we are always wanting a fast place to grab something to eat but this is not the place for us. The first time coming here the food was fantastic! But everytime since then it has gone downhill. Last time three of us from work went to grab something to go and sadly everyone of us tossed ours. I got the pollo asada plate and the chicken was so salty, I felt like I was chewing on a salt lick...yuck. Place looks just like the Hot Dog Shop...nothing new done with the place. There have been so many restaurants come and go in this location and sad to say this will probably be going soon too.
