I stopped in at OG for lunch takeout recently. I ordered the Luncheon Special #1 Egg Roll, Egg Foo Yong, Pork Fried Rice ($6.50 plus tax) and I chilled out in the lounge for about 10 minutes while waiting for my order.
The food I ordered was actually fairly decent tasting and just average, a good amount of food in a square styrofoam takeout box. The egg foo yong was firm with mix of onions & roast pork in a deep fried egg mixture, covered in a thick brown gravy. The fried rice (brown color) had a soft texture with a mix of onions and roast pork pieces. The egg roll was nice and crispy on the outside, filled with a mix of cabbage & minced pork.
Overall, the takeout food I ordered was served hot and it was not bad.
Yes, it's a low-class dive bar.
But it's a whole lotta fun!
They host karoake and there's a great dance floor.
The drinks are decently priced.
The DJ is always friendly.
The food is not very good and that's why it's knocked down one star.
But they sure make up for it with their Mai-Tai's and Pearl Harbor drinks!
They even have Keno.
It's not classy or upscale but it sure is fun and you'll have a good time on that dance floor!
I think that counts for something!
OGs is awesome! Â We have been going there for over 30 years, and we are never disappointed! Â The food is always made with fresh ingredients and served piping hot. Â I usually start off with a Mai Tai. Â The waitstaff is very attentive and friendly. Â They are very accommodating, and will be glad to make some changes to your order if you like. Â Â Whenever we go there, we always see the regular customers. Â Must be good if people keep coming back, right? Â They have lots of parking in the shopping center, (another plus). Â My recommendation: Â Seafood Lagoon, Â ummmm......yum!
