  We stopped by on a fluke, with my parents and godmother in tow. I saw the dine in sign and went in to ask for a menu, we decided to stay, as rockafellas was not open for lunch.  For a fish market It is remarkably clean with no perceptible fish odor.  I was worried about that since my wife is pregnant and smells get to her fast.  Our family ordered shrimp scampi, mussels marinara and I had a flounder sandwich.  We also had the clam chowders and shrimp salad.   My parents and godmother had broiled scallops and an assortment of salads.  We all agreed it was delicious.  And while we waiting for the food which was all freshly cooked as we waited about 20 minutes the cook walks out with fresh portuguese baguettes and rolls, who doesn't like fresh bread.  Prices were fine for 6 adults we spent under 100$ not including tip.  The young man who served us was sincere and helpful and all around nice guy. And the woman who cooked everything was delightful.  My only complaint is that all the dinnerware was  was disposable.  A very well run business indeed.

  A little on the high side, but , worth it.  The lobster bisque is fantastic.!  Steamers, shrimp and scallops all very fresh and delicious.  They also have take out. Open seasonally.

  If you like crab cakes as much as me then you've found your fish market of choice in ortley. Not to mention the fresh fish, clams, oysters, and shrimp. They have a take-out menu of prepared food.
  
  I go for the regular crab cakes if i'm gonna fry or bake them. They are lightly breaded. just how i like them, and are really well seasoned. They go perfect with some spicy grey poupon, hot sauce, and a shot of lemon.
  
  If your grilling and don't wanna buy them fried already then I'd go for the crab shell stuffed with crab meat. Perfect to wrap in foil and cook on low heat on the grill. Again they are perfectly seasoned and a shot a lemon is the only thing you need for the perfect bite.
  
  Nice local family run business. A quick chat will get you the freshest fish and an easy recipe.
  
  Recommend this place if your in the area.
