I moved from Monches 6 months ago and I wish I could have taken Ox & Cat's with me. Â What a great Wisconsin bar. Â The crowd is very back woods Wisconsin which means a few things: rowdy, a little red neck and very friendly. Â The owner's son is behind the bar most nights and he has a very good handle on the place and knows almost everyone that comes through the door. Â
The drinks are good and cheap and get filled quickly.
Great place to watch a Packer game. Â Jello shots whenever they score and raffles for free drinking. Â
The food is unexpected. Â Their burger is excellent although they only have American cheese for it. Â Their house made chips are to die for. Â My dad adores the tuna sandwich which is ahi tuna grilled medium rare on a bun with some spicy aioli. Â Their fish fry is good, although not my favorite in the area. Â
I go back whenever I am there, I love this place.
Always busy as good food tends to draw in the crowd. Â Fish fry is great and the pizza is always good. My son has had the Panini and says they excellent.
As a sports bar the atmosphere  is loud, but many tv's and helps pass the time if you have to wait for a table.  Also a small game room occupies the kiddies time.
If your are looking for good food in an out of the way town like Monches this is it. Â
With the bridge out you need to go aroud the mill pond and come in from the north, but the extra 1/2 mile is worth it!
