Here's the thing with Bucky's - it's a nice bar filled with great people. Bucky's is the "Cheers" of Lake Country. The crowd tends to be pretty mixed early on and gets younger the closer it gets to bar time. We've always had a great time here and had really good service. They have a great jukebox, pool, dart boards, Golden Tee, pull tabs and gaming machines, not to mention on Okauchee Lake, so there is plenty to do depending upon your mood. Bartenders are always quick to engage in conversation or engage in a game of bar dice. They sling drinks fast and the drinks are cheap.
They do have killer drink specials. Best happy hour in Lake Country (2 for 1 drinks) and the best burgers and wings around.  It is really hard to classify Bucky's into a type of bar. Somewhat dive bar with class, sometimes sports bar, Cheers with a young hip crowd and at times they have bands and local musicians playing in a open jam  I have been there for Badger, Brewer, Packer Games and the whole bar is engaged and into the games. They are quick to give away Touchdown shots and keep the crowd pretty fired up. On a Friday Night, you can enjoy an outstanding Fish Fry and be amongst a bar filled with the nicest, most welcoming people around.
On a Saturday, you have a mix of the 20s, 30s and 40 somethings all having a great time. On a weekday, you can be amongst a mix of business professionals, ladies drinking martinis or bikers drinking their favorite bourbon.
Bucky's food is outstanding. A little pricey for a bar but worth every penny. The best part about Bucky's is that they have a Liquor Store attached to the bar for late night carry out. They can sell beer, wine and liquor till midnight for carry out.
You really never know what to expect when walking in to Bucky's. The only thing for such is that the staff and patrons are inviting and always looking for a good time. Â This is the first time I could ever say I am going to "my bar". This place is a neighborhood gem.
