    This place is awesome!

Tons of history, friendly staff, live music, strong drinks, and fresh, tasty food- what more could you want?

I had a bacon wrapped steak that was bursting with flavor and sat at the bar with friends while we listened to the band that was cranking out live tunes (Santana, Blues Brothers, you name it). Great acoustics in the main room.

They're currently undergoing renovations on the basement and upper levels of the saloon, so it's only going to get better!

Our visit to the Oxford was WELL worth the drive up from Seattle.

Went in for a quick bite. Got the turkey sandwich. Looked like something I'd make for my kids lunch. Not toasted, Nothing special. Fries were obviously frozen. Just cheesy food. Nothing inspiring. The "chef" came out and asked how my sandwish was as if it was something special. Didn't have the heart to tell him. Atmosphere is cool but there's no way any of this crap on the walls can be effectively cleaned which means it's dusty...dust is old skin...around my food??? No thanks. This place just re-opened and did nothing to set themselves apart from any other restaurant in the area. What a shame.

I am not sure if this place is still open or not, but I do know that this was the best cheeseburger I've ever had in my 50 years.  Ever.  Ultra-delicious, in fact. I am more than willing to drive out here on my day off just to have one, and I can spend the rest of the day tooling around Snohomish helping other businesses to stay open.

The story goes that a sheriff was killed on the stairway leading down to the basement, and that his ghost lingers there.  Mostly. Another account was that of a young girl who killed herself, upstairs in room number 5, because she did not want to be pushed into a life of prostitution.  That's my understanding of the haunted saloon.

One time, the jukebox kicked on downstairs on its own--but I think that was part of the programming and not the Sheriff's Ghost.  No, I did not shoot the Sheriff, and I did not shoot the deputy, because they say that is a capital offense (lead in to Eric Clapton song! lol).  Another time I was downstairs and a glass fell off from behind the bar on it's own, and that was a bit creepy.

Is the Oxford Saloon really haunted?  Only you can say for sure, but you won't find out, unless you go down there.

Cool place, love the old bar....but the full on biker server chicks that were more interested in smoking out front gave super crappy service...we waited over 40 min. for our food in a non-packed dinning room, and 20 min. in betweeen empty drinks when they had plenty of time to ask...  The worst hambuger I have ever had...dry, 2 peices of bacon, un melted cheese, small peices of onion.... ugh!  the fries were cold, and the salad we paid extra for was all white peices no green.    Go down the street to Fred's Bar...the menu was much better, super nice servers and a better feel all around.

Snohomish has been a recent ending location for some recent bike rides. IMO the local pubs there are somewhat interchangeable, burgers, brew, etc. However I'm impressed with the orginal bar and decor at the Oxford. The food is decent and looking around you can easily imagine this place over 100 years ago.

Sat there for 35 mins and watched others who arrived after us get their food.  Finally got waitresses attention when she informed us she forgot to put our order in.  Nice.

The absolute best breaded chicken strips I've ever had, and I get them everywhere. Very lively and polite staff. I've never had a bad experience here. They also make a mean Bloody Mary.

Cool place. The food is good. Don't go on jam nite if you are a bass player unless you are a friend of what appears to be the house bass player who hogs everything but is a decent player. They won't let you on the stage cuz it's rigged to only let his friends play. They did have some good players on stage. Unorganized though. They should tell you ahead of time you have to be blessed and anointed by the house bass player to get on.

This is a classic saloon in downtown Snohomish with tons of character. The staff are friendly and make sure you are taken care of. Live music when I was there was great. Cozy little place to grab a beer or meal!

Once again, after leaving Fred's 'awful' Rivertown Alehouse, we tried the Oxford tavern.  We were disappointed by poor service, long waits, cold food, and ended up leaving after 40 minutes without eating.

Watch out leaving Snohomish!  Drivers are hungry and cranky after poor service and no food!

All I can say is that its an experience going here. Its a much different crowd then the bars in Seattle. Lots of cowboy hats and cheap beer. When I was there the wait staff was not that friendly and the bar tender got in a fight with one of the waitresses. That was kind of fun... The bar does get an extra star however for being haunted! And it is very haunted. You can ask any of the wait staff and their going to give you all kinds of stories. It also has two floors, one is more of the rustic tavern feel, the other is more of a back woods sport bar.

I love this joint!! The food is great at really great prices, the service is great and the atmosphere is just cool. Its really laid back and relaxing, 'classic' pub style. Its just the kind of place the makes you want to kick up your feet and listen to some great music, play a game of pool and have a good beer.

I love The Oxford!!!! For lunch, dinner, drinks, or playing pool, when in Snohomish go to The Oxford you won't be disappointed. They have great food, great drinks, and music on the weekends. Upstairs is a seating area and a stage for the bands. Downstairs you will find pool tables and a second bar. The bands are usually good and the pool tables are usually open. Even if they are being used, challenge the players to a game, the customers are always friendly.  The only fault I could find in this place is the waitresses tend to be a little overworked. So if you are the owner of The Oxford and reading this, hire some more people damn it....
