Ozgood's is our local go-to place when we want to eat out without driving very far. Â We love this place and dine here frequently.
Monday night is their AYCE wing night-- they put our a buffet with a bunch of different flavored wings-- usually mild, garlic, honey mustard, teriyaki, parmesan peppercorn, southwestern and a "special". Â The wing buffet is alright. Â Go on a different night and order wings and you'll have some of the best wings of your life. Â We tend to prefer the hot wings and the southwestern. Â They're fresh, hot and meaty. Â They come with some celery and carrot sticks and blue cheese dressing. Â I'm salivating right now just thinking about them.
Our favorite night to go is on Thursdays when the special is shrimp. Â I always (ALWAYS!) get the steamed shrimp on a Thursday. Â The platter comes out with a net bag of LARGE steamed shrimp and two sides (I like broccoli and the shoestring fries!) , melted butter, cocktail sauce and a wheat roll. Â The quality of shrimp is excellent, as is the portion size. Â I have never been disappointed in this meal and it's a steal at $17. Â
Their kids meals are a decent sized portion as well and there's a great variety of options for the kids to choose from and the price is perfect.
I highly recommend Ozgoods if you prefer your restaurant meals cooked to order rather than the typical chain model of microwaving premade dishes. Â I love to support a local business and this place really does deserve it.
This review is a little difficult for me. I'm a local and been going here for years even when it was the Blue Velvet. Ozgoods has a great beer selection, good bartenders, good food, and very reasonable prices, for the most part. Anytime you buy seafood at a restaurant, your gonna pay over $20, $30, $40 or even $50 per person. They have a broiled seafood sampler for $21.99. The broiled seafood sampler in my opinion has small portions of seafood, but the seafood is pretty good. I feel a lot of the dinners have small portions when it comes to the main meal. But I could be wrong and it could be just me. They also have an all you eat crab legs night on Wednesdays. I tried it for the first time and the crab legs were not very good. Out of 3 orders, not one time could I pull a full piece of crab meat out. That's what happens when crab legs are not cooked properly. They should be steamed and not sitting in or boiled in water. As far as their dinners, they do not include salads, you have to pay $1.99 extra for a salad. Doesn't make sense and really only place I know that does that. Â Don't mean to sound negative, this is a great family place to have dinner. They have great sandwiches, great dinners, great bar food, a wide selection of different foods, and I would recommend Ozgoods and will always go there for dinner bc it's such a great enviroment.
Review Source:Ozgood's is the best place in Robesonia to sit down and have a meal. Â Nothing on the menu will disappoint, and the prices are all reasonable. Â I like the Asian salad, the burgers, the melts, the fries, and their ribs are very good. If you are there for Sunday brunch or wing night you're in for a good meal.
Review Source:This is a great restaurant & bar that I'd recommend to anyone visiting the area. Â I have only been here a couple times with friends after 9pm, so I cannot say whether or not it's family friendly for dinner - though I would assume so. Â They wait staff is friendly and attentive. Â The food is typical bar food, but always tastes good. Â Their selection of beers is pretty diverse and should satisfy any palate.
Review Source:Wow my parents are right about this place...
----------
FOOD: I got a bbq sampler which comes with shrimp, ribs and chicken along with potato filling and rice pilaf. With the exception of the rice, everything was awesome! Dessert was a strawberry parfait and was also great. My parents said that this is a one off (not a chain) restaurant and they make all the food right there as compared to a chain that buys it pre made in a bag.
DECOR: Its a local bar and grill, so its not super fantastic, but its pretty nice inside and spacious. The bar (which did include the local drunks) is in a separate room, which is nice for diners.
SERVICE: Good. The waitresses are friendly and helpful and come back often.

WOULD I GO BACK? If it wasnt so far out of my way, yes I would. My parents say that everything on the menu is great. They said the ribeye is the best and New Years eve has an awesome buffet.
