If you are from Berks County and have friends and a family, chances are they hang out at the Railroad House on the weekends and in the summers. Â Every time I have been to this bar, it has been packed with old acquaintances, friends, parents' friends, even family members. Â This can be good for those who want to re-engage with homers they haven't seen in a while, or it can be bad if you are the type who likes to avoid this act.
The bar itself is usually fairly clean and the staff are friendly. Â The other positive is how incredibly cheap this place is! Â All of the times I have been here, I have felt guilty because of how little I've had to pay for some beers.
The main negative about this bar is definitely the parking lot. Â It isn't lighted; if its winter or raining, you are faced with a muddy, rocky, trench-filled walk from your car; and it just has a generally creepy feel to it. Â Another negative is how hard it can be to find a seat in this place. Â It is really good that RRH is doing well, but it translates to little seating for patrons.
I would recommend this bar for those in the area looking for a cheap drink.
