Came back for a work trip and needed a place to grab a beer, some dinner, and watch the football game. As stated in my previous review, this place was the perfect spot for it. Our server was extremely friendly and seating was ample. TVs were everywhere and their menu was huge.

I ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap with fries and was impressed. Exactly what is expected at a sports bar. Had a great time!

Unless you are in your twenties, you are not welcome here. We were having "too much fun" when the karaoke started so we were asked to leave. I guess it was really because we weren't treating the karaoke as though it was our last chance for American Idol. Then we looked around and realized that we were too old - in our thirties. The kids that asked us to leave didn't even look old enough to serve. I don't know what happened to this place but it used to be my sister and her husband's favorite place. Not anymore.

Went here for new years: awful.

We bought tickets early (10$) and had friends buy tickets after us. The friends were told that even though they bought early, they weren't guaranteed entrance. WTF?

They filled this place way over capacity to make more money. Huge fire hazard. No Bathrooms and no space to move.

Maybe this place is good other than on a big night, but it was bad.

Great place to go and have a few drinks with friends and watch some sports on a great selection of TVs.

My advice to you is to eat before or after you come here. Typical greasy bar food that leaves you with a stomach ache for hours.

What a great visit I had at The Page.  I went in to catch up on some football scores.  They have a selection of games playing on a typical Saturday.  John the bartender did a great job of making it a pleasant visit.  He also did a great job as a server.  I give the venue and server four and a  half stars.

I had the onion soup.  I felt it was very good.  It is a blend of four different types of onions in a beef stock with a splash of brandy.  I think it had a great balance of flavor for the most part.  I would have preferred it to have a little more beef heartiness.  I give the soup four stars.

My only issue was the sign on a outside which announced a Happy Hour only to find out that it was a mistake.  When I pointed it out the staff corrected the sign quickly.

Finally I enjoyed the other folks hanging out there.  They were fun to talk to and made the visit just about perfect.

    I'm a fan.

Went here yesterday while my husband went to some music stores on our shopping spree day of Kittery and Portsmouth. He is the shopper and I am not so I was happy to stumble on this place down the street from where we parked the car. I got to sit, rest my bum knee and hip and watch some college  bar and not be bothered. Seemed to attract a good range of young just out of college kids watching their alma mater as well as an older crowd. Would go back again to eat as the menu from what I saw seemed to be standard pub sports bar menu.

This was the best choice in Portsmouth to watch THE BRUINS WIN THE FUCKING STANLEY CUP!!!!  However, The Page can be summed up in 2 words: Bro Bar.

Until the next time a New England team goes for a championship....you won't find me here.  I know I'm a geek, but this place is really only for college-aged overly tanned bros.

Came here for my B-Day with 10 friends, had drinks and a few apps upstairs before heading downstairs to dance.  Had a great time and service upstairs was fine.  Dancing downstairs was fun,  despite automated music and DJ's who don't take requests.

I firstly fault myself for not paying closer attention after a few drinks but I also fault the waitress and management for not mentioning that 20% gratuity was included in our check.  I left a 20% tip on TOP of the total bill  which already INCLUDED the 20% gratuity because we were a party greater than six.   I am sure the waitress was psyched to get an $83 tip on a $192 check, but sorry I don't usually tip 45%.  I definitely would have left you a little extra, but clearly I made a mistake.  Also:  called to talk to manager about my mistake but she said there was nothing she could do.  Oh well, I am not a cheapskate...just think think it was irresponsible for waitstaff not to mention this policy...so PAY ATTENTION!

This WAS a nice place to go on the weekends until they started cracking down on people dancing. Apparently they aren't allowed to let anyone dance there anymore so it really isn't as fun and fewer people are going each week. It is becoming kind of desolate now. It used to have a nice lounge downstairs and sports bar upstairs. I'd consider going their if you want to watch a game or hang out but not for a good lively scene.

Great place- I highly recommend venturing here rather than the Gaslight if you want to drink and dance and have a good time.

Reasons why: Normally, ladies, you won't get approached by total creeps and hounded by them (unlike the atrocious experiences I've had at the Gaslight),

drinks are reasonably priced, and bar service is pretty efficient, even on a super busy night.

There are two floors, I usually make my way down to the basement floor right away as that is where the dancefloor is. They tend to play pretty good music, but it is standard top 40 stuff. They also have karaoke night, which can be enjoyable depending on how many beers you've had.

There's also no cover, again unlike the Gaslight. I try to go here whenever I'm back in NH visiting. Great place.

Good atmosphere and people.  I like how the bouncers don't give you any sh*t and let you have a good time. (opposite of the gas light)  This place is Phantom approved!

Spent a night drinking at the Page in Portsmouth, NH with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's road crew. What a night of booze and food. I started off with a Harpoon UFO and an All American Burger. Cooked to perfection, very juicy, with 4 slices of crispy bacon. I believe it was $9. 22oz glasses of Bud Light, several Coronas (due to a Corona promotion night) and shots of Crown Royal. Great time, good crowd, friendly waitresses and bar staff, nice hard wood floors, plenty of tv screens to watch the games. All in all a great place to hang on any given night.

There's about 30 plasma screens around a central bar. About 20 had different college games, 5 had NASCAR, and 5 had skateboarding. Any place I can watch skateboarding is a great place in my book. Drinks are good and theres always a good crowd.

I'll have to go back to give this sports bar another chance. On a Tuesday night, they were out of the beer and several appetizers that we wanted. I'm guessing Wednesday is delivery day.

In the end we had a good meal and watched the Red Sox game on one of the many flat-screen TVs. Wonderfully spacious bar area. I'd love to return on Saturday or Sunday.

Nice spot!  Plenty of tv's and space.  Two floors.  The portsmouth garage is just up the street if you can't find a meter.

Went to a birthday party downstairs recently.  Perfect spot!

Just had to write a quick review on The Sports Page - this is not Banana's; that place is long gone (it seems all of the UNH kids have started to hang out in Dover more than Portsmouth lately as well)

The Sports Page is a great take on a sports bar.  Yes, they have the pre-requisite abundance on TV's, but they are all flat panel HDTV's and are lined up very neatly, and look very classy.  That's the strange word I would use to describe the Sport's Page --- for a sports bar, the place is more upscale that what one might imagine.

Leather furniture, top shelf liquor, the flat panel TV's I mentioned.  A far cry from neon signs and scattered TV's at odd angles.

The menu is quite a jump up from nachos and wings as well.  My wife has had great salads there and they also carry steak tips from The Meat House (and any local can tell you that those are THE steak tips tog et.)
