Went to The Press Room on a Saturday night around 10 to catch the Mike Dillon Band. Good show, semi-crowded but still able to get some seats up front. There were some people dancing, a lot were sitting or standing. I think it was 10 dollars or less for each of us to get in, so all in all very much worth our time and money.
Review Source:The Press Room is pretty great. Â I have a particular fondness for places that are capable of selling craft beer without being dicks. Â Normally, I bolt for the door when a bar advertises live music, but it's kind of fun to watch awkward dads sit around bashfully noodling on mountain dulcimers and mandolins they bought after their retirement and there's a nice community feel to it. Â Traditional sessions tend to attract a particularly obnoxious breed of snobby musicians on occasion, but none of that going on here. Â Also, the jazz combo is pretty competent.
