I don't usually write reviews but I live down the street & would frequent the bar roughly 3x a week. The food is good, I generally stick to wings & pizza but have had other items and they are good. The prices are good. I've had to stop going after hearing stories of the owner abusing his employees verbally & physically and than one night witnessing him curse out his bartender, than take him in the back where the sounds of crashing kitchen ware took place and than the bartender returning to his shift for 10 minutes to clean up and quit on the spot. This restaurant under the previous name Hurry Back Inn while it was run by Frank also had similiar problems, good food & prices, poor management. It's been a number of years since it's been well run which is ashame as I generally like the place. My wife & I have moved onto other bars for our dining & drinking pleasure.

Very good food and pizza.  Great appetizer selection.

Excellent tomato pie and their dinners are above average,  The calamari and chicken appetizer is the best i have ever had.  The only downfall is the inconsistent service,  I have gotten a really great server only to be followed by a totally incompetent one the next time in.  The only thing holding them back is the quality of the serving staff.  It really needs an overhaul.

Pretty ordinary stuff when it comes to Italian.  Nothing we've had there (lasagna, veal saltimbocca, calimari, burgers) was special in any way to make them better than any place else.  People talk up the tomato pies here, and although the pie I had was good, it wasn't anything to write home to Mom about.  Service seems indifferent.  The place is always packed full on Friday and Weekend evenings (worst times for good service), and the boozy atmosphere and noise is sometimes more like that of a tavern than a restaurant.  That being said, if you're here with a group, you're very likely to have a enjoyable evening if you're not all about the food.

I returned to Hamilton to do some work at my mom's house. As a thank you, she took me to Palermo's for pizza.  Being that it was St. Patrick's day... well you never quite know what to expect so I'll just stick with a food review.

I can simply attest to the fact that their "Palermo's Signature Old Fashion Tomato Pie" is one of the better pizza's I've ever had. True to Trenton-style form with a thin, crisp crust layered in cheese, then fresh sweet tomatoes then olive oil. This pie could possibly rate highly even against the likes of Deloreno's and Frank PePe's of New Haven.

I'd rate the pizza a 9 and the rest of the joint a 3 (1-10).

The place has a nice atmosphere but service was extremely slow. Salad was fresh and soups were good. No bread was served. The veal parm was good..no side of pasta. Seafood combo was ok..not great.

We like this place.  My husband gets the Gluten Free pie and he loves it.  And I always get the margherita pie.  excellent!

14oz burgers, old school tomato pie and a wide variety of sandwiches.  The menu is larger than i thought and the bar was a good size but the beer selection was pedestrian.  The menu includes Italian and Greek selections.

The dining area is small and on the Saturday we went for lunch it was booked for a party.  This left only a few tables and the bar available.  The service wasn't horrible but it was slow.

I give the tomato pie a thumbs up along with the large burger.  We did get a meatball parm that was made on stale bread.  My relatives live down the street and have had the meatball parm before and it was pretty good so the stale bread isn't the norm.
